I wish there was an option to give NO stars at all to say the least. Let me start off by saying that DO NOT be fooled by the 5 star reviews because they are FAKE REVIEWS by the staff here and their family, friends and other properties to help with the ratings. You’re telling me that 37 5star reviews came in about this property in just 2 days! I will tell you why that is… I currently live here and have a neighbor that lives above me, her and her household is so loud with Stomping, Banging, Loud Music and Running. Remind you that this has been going on since I been living in this townhome for 5months straight and everyday. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I moved in because my daughter and granddaughter was the only ones occupying it the first couple of months. She would call me crying about how loud the neighbors are because they kept my 11month old granddaughter up all night and she was so restless behind the loud noise. I called the leasing office numerous of times and couldn’t get ahold of anyone for weeks. So at this point I’m upset too because I left voicemails regarding this matter and they still did not return my calls. I started recording the noise and documenting it as much as I could and emailed it to the whole staff and they still did not reach out to me. Finally I had enough of the loud noise because I work from home and study my Bible everyday… So I went to my neighbors door to kindly ask her to lower the noise because it’s hard to work, read and sleep. She told me that “You must not have kids?” I told her I actually do 3 kids and 1 grandchild. So she replies back saying “ Im not going to make my kids stop running and jumping so that’s your problem.” She slams the door in my face. So the noise kept going on and I will knock on the walls to try to quite them because they where getting carried away up there. So finally the Property Manager Priscilla calls me from her personal phone confronting me about if I was the one posting the 1star reviews about the property and all… So I was so annoyed at the fact she had the nerve to disregard my several attempts to get help from management about my neighbors above me. All her and the staff cared about was the bad reviews and not solving the issue that I was bringing forward to their attention. Priscilla and Tayelor came to my unit to listen to the noise above and they both agreed that it was loud. Then they started to confront me again about the 1star reviews and now I’m really upset because I’m suffering everyday with these loud disrespectful neighbors. I have 159 voice recordings and 10 videos of how loud the banging, running, stomping and loud music is. I called the police a couple of times and they told me there wasn’t much that they can do and that I need to contact the Leasing Office about this. I told the officer that they are aware of this matter and they told me to call the property security. I did that a few times and obviously they didn’t do anything either because the noise did not stop. So I called the office and Maddie answer the phone so I asked her if management was in the office so that I can speak with them… She proceeds on telling me that they both were out of the office. I asked her for my lease just in case I have to seek into an attorney… That’s when she said “since you mentioned an attorney, I can’t talk to you.” I went to the leasing office to pick up a copy of my lease and asked them if they have been documenting everything that I been emailing them… So a couple of weeks went by and I get a knock on my door and when I answered it it was Priscilla and Tayelor serving me a Demand Letter to vacate or get evicted by June 26, 2024 this was served to me 13 days before Management wanted me out by. ALL OF THIS IS BEHIND RETALIATION BECAUSE OF THE 1star reviews. In the Demand Letter which I’m going to show here Tayelor misspelled a word on it and also listed the wrong section (39) on the lease of the reason why they are making me move. Talk about “professional.” Maddie (employee) wasn’t served when smoking marijuana on her balcony....

June Original Review* The townhouse at Five-810 Southlands in Aurora, Colorado, offers a beautiful and spacious layout with all fixtures in nearly new condition. The design is modern and inviting, making it a wonderful place to call home. However, there have been some persistent issues since mid-spring. Initially, the stairway light began flickering despite replacing the bulbs. Staff hadn't purchased a ladder yet to address this foreseeable issue which wasn't a big deal. Soon after, the freezer & ice maker stopped functioning, and the refrigerator failed to maintain the correct temperature, leading to spoiled food (New fan being ordered).
Hot summer = dead A/C. The temperature inside soared to 92-94 degrees and remained that way for three days until a portable air conditioning unit was provided. Unfortunately, A/C vendors were unable to promptly address these issues on the property due to a high influx of mixed calls around the country. This unit blew its compressor & had rusted wired. Estimated 3 week repair. (Parts not up to standard, due to high demand nationwide).
While the staff at Five-810 Southlands are friendly and caring, there is a noticeable gap in preparedness for growth, learning, and preventive maintenance. The valet trash service $21/Monthly wasted. Trash often remains uncollected, & many residents just use the dumpster. The walls are somewhat thin but most seem to make do. Unit stayed warm during the winter but a small heater was used during cold snaps. We see how summer is going so far. There’s been so many issues in my 4 months here I requested a credit after the Heating/Cooling unit blew out its refrigerant through the compressor. Update: The Property MGMT Company, Greystar (Owner of Five-810 and various other properties) does not offer any credit for any reason for any issues that arise. It was mentioned that an email/letter could be written to, Greystar MGMT, however that's a bit much for known & documented issues. There's a tendency on the MTX Request page for incomplete request to be marked completed. On a positive note, the maintenance are pretty good. (The problem seems to be mgmt/accounting keeping their hands tied). The location is excellent, with local shopping and entertainment options within walking distance. Foosball tables, ping pong and grills are available for use. A short trail between the community and Aurora Parkway allows for some fresh air and birds. The office staff is face forward friendly but their effectiveness in problem resolution, & any communication type is NULL in my experience. However, the persistent issues with maintenance (mainly electrical in my unit it seems) and services need to be addressed to enhance the living experience in this community. I understand the 1-3 STAR reviews now. For the rent range Greystar/Five-810 must provide better, service, care, & preventative measures to ensure tenant/resident expectations that were set at first & subsequent pre lease inked experiences are met throughout the...
Read moreDO NOT RENT FROM HERE! I have never lived in a place so terrible in my life. We lived here for 3 years. We were good tenants and took great care of our little apartment. Moved out over a month ago and never once did they try to contact us about an outstanding charge. NOT ONCE! Over a month later, and we’re getting calls from a collections agency saying that we owe them money. Even though we gave them a check for over $600 dollars when we moved out, they kept our $500 deposit and now they’re charging us an extra $726. This place is an absolute scam.
There are PLENTY of hidden fees. Valet trash is mandatory so that’s an extra charge, you pay for community gas and electricity. Not to mention that you HAVE to pay 65 dollars extra for parking, even if you park on the street on the opposite side of where your apartment is because all the spaces are taken up… all the time. In the three years of living there, I can count on one hand the amount of times I was able to find a parking spot even just a little bit closer to my apartment. And no, you’re not paying 65 bucks for a covered parking space, it’s an open parking lot.
Oh! And if you have actually insane and most likely cracked out neighbors, it takes almost an entire year to get them removed from the building, even though you have video and photo evidence of the neighbors harassing you, trying to get into your apartment, police reports etc. you told them that you don’t feel safe? Their solution: we’ll send your neighbors a letter.
The hot tub was always so dirty, water a disgusting green color and a smell that burned your eyes. They even have a problem with people that don’t live there, going to use the hot tub and pool. How do I know that they didn’t live there? They told my husband that they sleep in one of the garages and they wish they could live there one day. There was even an instance where I had to call the police to go to the pool because two of the men that broke into the pool to use the hot tub got naked in the common area to change. All because the pool gate remained broke and wouldn’t lock for MONTHS.
The hallways are so gross and we have gotten fees and notices from the valet trash company for trash being in the middle of the hallway that someone else put there. Do you have a trash bag or your valet parking trash can outside of your door for pick up before 7 pm? You get a charge for that too.
Walls are thin, you can hear EVERYTHING. I would be sleeping at night and be woken up from the neighbor next door doing laundry.
There were times that maintenance would just walk into our apartment without us knowing and when we would say that they can’t just walk in without notice and they would tell us that there was an email sent out even though we never ever got an email.
Communication and management is a huge issue. It is almost impossible to reach someone on the phone or through email. We also just stopped putting in work orders through the portal because if we didn’t physically go down to the office and talk to them face to face, nothing would get done.
There were sooooo many instances of this apartment completely screwing us over and making the living situation extremely stressful and uncomfortable. Especially having to pay SO much money in base rent and fees, you should want to come home and enjoy living there. But that seemed hard to come by more and more the longer we lived there. I’m most definitely not the type of person to write one star reviews (even though I would give is zero stars if I could) but I felt like I needed to write the review because I would be doing a disservice to people doing research on a new place to live and not giving them an insight to what this apartment really is. Please for the love of God, don’t believe the five star reviews. Anyone who has actually lived here for longer than a month knows that it’s all just a bunch of BS and tenants were likely bribed into write a five star review for a chance to win a $100...
