We have a Kohl's charge card that we got in December and have NEVER activated. In February we received a bill and disputed the charges. The dispute was ruled in our favor but Kohl's still reported a late payment to our credit file and decreased our credit score by 89 points...on a zero balance on a card we didn't activate. This is effecting a mortgage we are attempting to get and is clearly in violation of the FCRA.
As a history - 3/19 we spoke to five separate representatives in the Phillipines before finally, after several requests to be transferred to the US, speaking to Stephanie. She stated they would be escalating and expediting a credit reset as it was an error on Kohl's part. She further stated her supervisor would call us back no later than Tuesday, March 20th. We received no calls. 3/21 - we called Kohl's and reached 3 people in the Phillipines call center, including "David" who stated he was a manager and couldn't transfer me as he was the highest ranking person. He disconnected the call when I again requested to be transferred to the US call center. I called back and reached another representative in the Phillipines and again requested a manager on the floor. The manager on the floor immediately transferred me to the US call center where I had the displeasure of speaking with Luella who refused to let me speak with a manager. She dropped me back into a call queue to the Phillipines. I requested the manager on the floor again and after explaining our situation for the 6th time I was transferred to the US. In the middle of a sentence in speaking with "Marion" in the US, the call went immediately to a survey for Kohl's and the call was disconnected.
At no time was I rude. We simply need this resolved and our questions answered. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General as well as looking at our options for the violations of the FCRA and damage to our credit for an error that...
Read moreUpdated Review April,2021 The last time I visited this Kohl’s location I was very disappointed. So, I decided to just drive the extra few minutes and take my business to the Kohl’s on Havana. But I figured it’s been over six months, so things must have changed for the better and I went back to my neighborhood Kohl’s on Hampden. To my surprise, NOTHING HAS CHANGED. The new store manager, Corina, is even worse than the one before. She’s very rude! I overheard her talking to another lady and she seemed annoyed and kept cutting off the lady and speaking over her. When the conversation ended she literally was stomping off. I understand everyone has bad days but as a manager that’s just unacceptable because I felt so uncomfortable, especially with her unwelcoming and cold demeanor. Does Kohl’s just hire anyone to be their manager? If that’s the case then I don’t care to support a business that fails to have any standards especially when hiring what is suppose to be a “leader”. If I could I would definitely give Corina ZERO STARS.
August 26,2020 This has been my neighborhood Kohl’s for about 10 years. But it’s gotten worse with time especially recently it seems like more kids are working there and it’s more of a “click”. I thought work places are suppose to be professional especially retail stores. The store manager Kelly is also SO RUDE! I much rather drive the extra 15 minutes to the Kohl’s on Havana to avoid her very...
Read moreCrazy. I told them months ago that somebody has been using my phone number and utilizing my Kohl’s cash so they simply tell me to use my email. That doesn’t really resolve anything if someone is still using the number. The last two times I have gone in they left security tags on items Which is very inconvenient especially considering I grabbed them for a last-minute work event so I did not have time to swap them same day and I also was triple charged for one item the last time that I went in and did not notice it until reviewing receipt receipts as I scanned them in to save digitally. Lastly… I for the last eight months have spent about $1000-$2000 every month at cold and that’s excluding Cole’s cash. I called Tonight to ask if I can get some boxes because I’m moving and after a long pause he tells me I’m not allowed to do that. I’m sure that nobody in training told you that and if they did, what are the odds that’s the piece of information you held onto. Insane that I literally spend a chunk of my income with them, but they won’t even provide customers some boxes that they ultimately are throwing away. If I do continue to shop at Kohl’s, it probably won’t be at...
