UPDATE: The ring they said was cancelled & re-ordered was never really cancelled. They told us it had arrived on a Monday and it didn't arrive until Thursday (because it did arrive Monday...in Colorado, which no one told us until I called customer care). The ring arrived, it was way too small and we said screw it and picked out a different ring. This ring we had for 6 days and a diamond fell out. Truthfully after all this, this ring should be 50% off. The reason I gave another star is because after talking to customer care and the manager Maria who was very kind, our ring was replaced & we are getting a gift card in the mail which we will be using to purchase insurance.
ORIGINAL: My boyfriend bought me a ring for Valentines Day from Zales. We asked them if we could get it in a different size since mine was too big and they said I am between sizes and it is $70 to get my ring resized so we decided not to. Then she suggested she put on a little metal piece to resize my ring. It didn't work and I couldn't get the ring on. She took the piece off and packaged the ring. When we walked out, we took the ring out of the box and saw it was completely ruined... huge gauges in the band and it looked terrible. We brought it back in and they "buffed" them out. We said no, we want a new ring. It took over an hour for them to re-order the ring. They tried charging extra for my boyfriend getting a new ring even though they ruined the first one. After multiple phone calls and "failures to re-order" they said they re-ordered the ring. A couple days later we check online and they ordered the ring to Aurora, Colorado not Aurora, Ohio. They said there is nothing they can do about it and we will just have to re-cancel the order and decide if we want to re-purchase. Ridiculous service from a ring company that is supposed...
   Read moreMy husband and I were at the outlets, and I decided to stop in Zales, I wanted to look at some gold necklace sets and also get my ring maintenance. There was an older woman sitting at the counter looking at a tablet/computer. I walked in, looked around at the jewelry, literally circled her at least 2-3x, and not once did she lift her head up to say hello. "How can I help you?" I was just about to walk out. A young man came out the back. He greeted me, and by this time, my husband had walked in the store. Again, this older woman has still never looked up and said a word. The young man, whose name is Jake, was extremely professional and very accommodating to my husband and I. During the process of us looking at some new jewelry. 2 men walked in that was not of African American descent like my husband and I and guessed who decided she wanted to look up and greet them. I was so irritated, and I mentioned it to Jake. Needless to say Thanks to Jake for being a great customer service representative for Zales we continued our shopping made a big purchase with Jake and moving forward if I stop in that particular Zales I will not spend my money with that older woman.    Read moreMy husband bought my diamond here in 2015. I was with him. I have always brought my diamond in more frequently than the required 6 months to be cleaned and inspected. I had to have my diamond resized in January 2018. In October my ring cracked in the back from being too thin when they resized it. Not surprisingly the gold to fix it is the one thing that wasnât covered. We paid 200$ to have them fix it. They had my diamond about 3 weeks. Now less than 3 months later I am missing a small diamond from the little spoke holding the large diamond in. Now Iâm being told because no one signed my paperwork I have to pay to have it replaced. They said my husband never told me when he picked out my diamond. Wel I was with him when he bought it and it was never made clear that the paperwork NEEDED signed, even though they have had my diamond MULTIPLE times. Terrible Terrible customer service. I wish I could go back and get my diamond elsewhere. Would give them 0 stars if I could. DO NOT get your jewelry here.
