Drive the extra 4 miles and go to the good Hibachi place, Samurai in Aurora. This place in Aurora Farms is gross. This was the 1st and last time I'll order from here. We walked in & ordered Carryout at lunchtime when it wasn't busy at all. (weekday) The portion of my hibachi meal was the same as the child's meal my daughter ordered but came with the pricetag fairly close to that of a full combination hibachi dinner sold at similar hibachi establishments. Steak & Shrimp Hibachi & rice should be fairly straightforward I'd like to think, however the meat was very questionable. It was chewy, and tough as nails-even ordered medium rare. The one included piece of shrimp was a color I've never seen shrimp come in, and it had a sour/spoiled smell to it, which also seemed to linger throughout the rest of my meal in the container. They only offer yum yum sauce, no dark brown ginger sauce you get offered at every other hibachi place. I chose to call & let them know these issues but was quickly told "manager not here, no refunds" and then hung up on. Basically, $30 that went in the trash can. I wont comprise food poisoning over $30. I really hope they see this & possibly check their inventory bc we recently had storms that caused power outages for days, and I wouldn't doubt that this food was bad, especially with the smell and color. I should've went with my instinct when walking in and immediately almost falling on their dangerously greasy, slippery floor. The spotted, dirty glass windows and sticky table tops doesn't help matters. Prob time to close & do a massive professional cleanse & have a county health inspector make an unannounced visit. I'll be contacting them next. There's no way this place is passing any types of inspection, and its obvious the moment you walk in the door. I should've realized when there was no customers inside, midweek during...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFour of us went and we ordered fried riceā¦I got a vegetarian fried rice along with bubble tea. Fried rice is okay, bubble tea was 80% water and 85% of the tumbler was filled with ice. The bubbles never found their way into the straw. Expected it to be a little thick. The rice was well prepared, tasted good. Price to portion ratio is balanced.
The personnel were not welcoming at all. They displayed zero hospitality. Very regrettable took our order. The amount of egg beaten into rice seemed so less that it felt like they used only a couple of eggs for all the fried rice orders they received at that time. They said it will take 25 mins for the order to come but delivered it in 5mins. Had a feeling they didnāt want us to eat there.
They had their uniforms and followed all Covid precautions. Just felt they were not interested in serving their customers. I might visit again and see if that is how they work. No comments on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give this place a million stars I would! My bf and I tried it once after shopping and it was great. We have tried a good amount of different sushi places, but this one always stood out to me! We drove almost an hour back to this location just for their sushi and Lo Mein! I got a mango shrimp roll and the mango tastes SO fresh, makes such a difference. The sweet potato roll is the best at this sushi place compared to all the others iāve tried. PLUS the Lo mein is AMAZING. I had left overs the next morning and it still tasted so yummy. The only complaint I can even think of is that sauce is $1.50 which isnt crazy but it ended up being a little small cup. Iāve had other places just give a lot more. However the rest of the food is fairly priced and simply the best. I will 100% be coming back and...
