Elysian Head Spa — Local services in Austin

I’ve had two treatments here now and this review is long overdue. Let’s start with the booking experience, seamless, friendly, professional, and fast. Once my appointment was confirmed I filled out a quick intake form so my esthetician was prepared for my visit and I knew what to expect. I was blown away at how all encompassing this process was, this is not just a simple hair wash! When you come in you’re greeted with smiling faces, a bright and comfortable lobby and the quickly brought into a treatment room. My most recent treatment was with Zoya and she started out by making sure I understood the process and educated me on what healthy hair and scalp really are. They then take a microscopic picture of your scalp (think of this as a before pic) and get you all comfy on the bed. Aromatherapy, warm blankets and a nice dark room and help you relax while your scalp is scrubbed, cleaned, massaged and transformed! My hair was a thousand times better than whatever state it was in when I entered the spa . After an hour of bliss (I got the Alchemist) I had a fabulous treat of chocolate and almonds and a warm tea, followed by a great blowout that lasted me days. Sept 2025 update - I went back to get a PCA chemical facial and loved the spa experience! Marina took great care of me and the facial/neck/hand massages were luxurious and relaxing. I left in a state of bliss and my skin is glowing!

-great products and results - all the products felt luxe, smelled heavenly and my scalp was tingling (in a good minty kind of way). One day afterwards, my head feels squeaky clean and my hair has volume!

With the camera, I was able to see the sebum on my hair follicles and some light red inflammation before the treatment. Afterwards, I saw a fresh and clean scalp! I can really "feel the clean" when running my fingers through my scalp as it's no longer oily.

-nice amenities and service - weighted blankets and eye mask were great. I liked the hot tea afterwards. The spa had many of these soothing mini touches that contributed to the space and atmosphere. I also opted for the braid as my "styling" when the service was done. This was such...

I booked this appointment a couple of months ago as a birthday treat for my friend. She said the treatment itself was very relaxing and the service was great, which I really appreciated. However, I had also added a blowout service to the booking since we had dinner plans afterward. Unfortunately, after the treatment, she was left with wet hair and had to inform them herself that a blowout had been booked. She was then told they couldn’t provide the service. She was offered the option to do it herself, but they didn’t even have a round brush available. This was disappointing—especially since the blowout was listed as an add-on option on the website when I booked.

If a service isn’t available, I think it would only make sense to remove it from the booking options. What was meant to be a relaxing day turned into a stressful evening as we scrambled to figure out her hair before dinner. It really took away from the experience, which...
