EDIT - Owner texted me, and asked me to bring the ring back in. I did so, and he said he would have it done and I could pick it up in two days. Left the rings with them for two more days, and they were able to fix them and make exactly what I wanted.

Original - shoddy workmanship, poor customer communication, timelines much longer than quoted, and they lost a stone from my antique engagement ring

I chose Regard because a friend said that three generations of her family had used them and they had good reviews on Google.

I went in for an initial consult, explained that I needed some repairs on my engagement ring and, due to its unusual shape, I needed a gold band made to fit it. They said they understood what I was looking for and it would take two weeks.

After two weeks, I hadn't heard anything from them, so I called them. I was told it was taking longer than expected and to give them another week.

Two more weeks go by, I still haven't heard anything, so I call again, they say they've had people out sick, they need another week.

After another week I call them, they say it's ready. I go in, and the wedding band fits worse than a 5$ dress from Shein. They say to give them another week and they will fix it. Again, I call them after a week, they said they had a machine break, they just fixed the machine, they will have the ring done by the end of the day and they will call me. They call me 30 minutes before they close.

I go in the next day to pick up the rings. The wedding band like 80% fits the engagement ring, I just want my rings back, so I take them, and I go home. On my drive home, I realize my engagement band is missing a stone. So I call them, they say to bring it back in and they will fix it while I wait. I also inspect the wedding band more and notice some deep scratches and unevenness in the band.

All in all, it took a month and a half, four trips to their store, and I still don't have exactly...

This place is amazing. I'm a very sentimental person, so when my boyfriend proposed with a ring that was PERFECT for me but was too big, I was pretty stressed out - I wanted to be able to keep the exact ring he proposed with, but it had a design around the band and I thought it would be hard to size down and we'd have to return it.

I went to Regard Jewelry to find out what my real size was with the hopes that maybe it would be a small enough difference that they could add sizing balls so I could keep this ring without worrying it would fall off. It ended up being a whole size difference, and I mentioned that I had been hoping I wouldn't have to exchange it. This got a very confused, "Why would you have to exchange it??"

I explained how I thought it would be too hard to resize a ring with so much detail around the band. Now, the ring is an ouroboros - a snake eating its own tail - and he told me they could detach it at the mouth, take a tiny bit of the tail off and reattach it. This had just... never occurred to me.

I left the ring with them, and in about TWO HOURS it was done. Now it fits perfectly, and you truly can't tell it was adjusted at all.

I'm so happy with the service I received at Regard Jewelry, and I'm excited to have a regular, trusted jeweler I can come back to whenever...

The only minor hiccup was the timeline. Initially, I was quoted 4–6 weeks for completion, but due to some unexpected technical difficulties during the design and construction process, it ended up taking closer to 2.5 months. That said, the ring was finished just in time—ready the same afternoon my fiancé proposed—so it all worked out in the end.

Despite the delay, I couldn’t be happier with the quality and artistry of the ring. It was 100% worth the wait, and I’ll definitely return to Regard for any future jewelry repairs or custom pieces....
