I just left this ACE and I promise I will never be back! I brought my STIHL backpack leaf blower in to get repaired over 2 months ago. When I dropped it off the guy priced out a new air tube because mine was crushed and said the part was $160 or something but he didnât know the labor or how much everything else would cost because that would be discovered when the technician took it apart and tested it so I said I wanted fixed and running and was told I would get a call next week to discuss what was wrong and how much it would be, 2 weeks and the call never came so I called and spoke with the technician who was very rude and aggressive and told me he hadnât even looked at it yet and I had to wait my turn and heâll get to it when he gets to it when I explained to him that someone assured me he would call me the following week so thatâs what I was expecting which his reply was that the other employee shouldnât have told me that. Then after over a month finally itâs fixed so today I go to pick it up and pay for it and after I do I pick it up to leave and to my surprise the original reason I brought it in, that crushed tube, wasnât even fixed. When I say something to the young man helping me he asks the technician about it and I front of several employees and customers the technician again is very rude and aggressive and tells me itâs not his fault because no one told him and âscreaming and yelling about it wonât get it fixedâ when I didnât even raise my voice in the slightest and this is how a customer is treated?? Completely unbelievable and unprofessional!    Read moreUpdate 1/17/23: Manager Tiffany called a few hours after I picked up the part and said they realized their mistake and apologized profusely for not double-checking the order before it was picked up. She not only personally dropped off the correct part at our home that evening, but gave us a $20 gift card as well and another profuse apology. Well done! Upgraded review from 1 to 4 stars.
Original review: Ordered Delta faucet cartridge for curbside pickup. Followed the pick up directions per the email. When I pulled up to the store and called them, I was left on hold for four minutes while they attempted to find my order that I had only placed three hours before that. Eventually, I simply went into the store, found out they were still trying to find it, although it was sitting in a bag right on the shelf with their other (few) pick up orders the entire time. Got home with the bag only to discover that there's nothing on this package that matches what I ordered. It was supposed to be the original Delta part, but it's an American Standard not compatible at all. I have been into the store a handful of other times over the years and never once have I ever felt like anyone in there actually wanted to help me find anything.    Read moreI went to the Avon Lake Ace Hardware to get a simple key cut it's for a 1980s vehicle I got it cut the first day the ignition key the cut was off a little because they use the machine and I don't think it was centered right the one for the door was completely fine and still works fine I went to the Ace Hardware in Avon Lake the next day to try to get my key cut again as soon as I walked in and asked for a key to be cut for my car the dude immediately snapped and said we do not cut car keys so I say okay you guys cut it yesterday you guys also have the key blanks over there to do it he said we just don't cut car keys so I said okay can I at least get a refund then they said sure and then some lady comes up and says yeah we can give you a refund but who was it who cut your car key I said I don't remember the dude he was an older gentleman and then she asked it again and I said I don't know can I just get my refund eventually the dude said fine I'll just give you your refund give it to me and then I said you cut the car keys why you not cutting a car keys for me and he said don't start with me so I took the money and left.
