Menards — Local services in Avon

So this was going to be 5 stars, I got it down to 1 stars for this reason.

I had ordered a smokeless fire pit 7/18/25. I went physical into menards and ordered a smokeless firepit Ozark set. I had received the stones a few days later for the delivery. I was told the metal 28inch insert would be ordered and received at menards on 9/3/25 I would get an email, text or call when it arrived there for me to pick it up. Its currently 9/24/25 and have not received no contact for this pick up. I called and was told by some lady that the manager is on break and would call me back in 5 minutes. I had waited about 30 and called again myself, upon answering he said that he was about to call me back. (I do not believe this) He asked for the SKU # I had given it. He went to the back and said he cant find it. The worst case scenario is that he would give me the display one. (Mind you I had payed 279.99 for a brand new in box 28inch insert, I paid for this back in july) So now I am waiting for a call back to see what is currently going on. The manager said they did not have my information like name and number to find my item. So when the person I bought all of this from Steve G who works there did not input my information correctly to get ahold of me. I have been here plenty of times and never had issues before. This is a first. So hoping things can be resolved. I don't like giving bad reviews.

Hopefully I will get some answer and I can bring this back up to 5 stars.

Got a call back from the manager. The reason he couldn't find my order because it was put on the floor. It was because I never got contacted about it arriving there. They have a 2 week policy about pick ups. Since I was never told it had arrived they put it out in the garden section. The manager told me he put it in the back and will be waiting for me to pick up. Thank you very much for figuring this out.

Store employee cursing a disabled vet and his wife in parking lot: I have been going to this store for many years. I am a disabled vet so when there is a handicap spot, I do use it, I attempted to pull in the handicap spot and an older man in a car, blew his horn at me and stuck his middle finger up at me, and telling me to F off he finally pulled around me and parked at the end of the parking lot, as he was walking past our car and into the store i said to him are are you a Christian? Do you go to church? He said f no and continued to tell me to F off and f you, he walked into Menards in Avon, we went on into the store and what did we see the same man working behind the paint desk , any man that would use such Language And especially in the presence of my wife should be In jail, I called the store manager while he was apologetic he never asked for my phone number to follow up he also seemed to be more interested in talking to someone while he was on the phone to me than dealing with the incident. We are not comfortable with going back there, I will post this incident on Facebook as well and YouTube we vets must stand together do not go there if you are a vet or disabled, if we do not stand for each...

If I was able to give NEGATIVE stars for the service (well LACK of service) in this place, I truly would. Especially since all of this covid nonsense has begun and since folks absolutely will not stand up for their rights in any capacity. Here in Indiana, the Governor Holcomb has a "mask mandate" in place, which, people need to understand that a MANDATE is NOT a LAW. I expressed that I have medical and a religious exemption from wearing a mask. They continued to discriminate against me, even though I had clearly told them of the medical exemption I had. They continued to deny service to me. After I left, I went to a WONDERFUL Home Improvement store called "LOWE'S" just down the street. Hands down, the most cheerful, helpful, happy workers there. I so appreciated the help I received, and enjoyed giving LOWE'S my money to buy the very few things I needed.
