I have gone to this location in several occasions and when I leave I swear that I will never return to that store. I opened my charge account online because of the discount teaser and bought a few items to be picked up. When I got them they were the wrong shade. I took them back immediately and was told I couldn’t do that because I had to wait 24 hours. That was understandable. I wanted to return one of the items and I couldn’t do that either because I had to wait until I got the original card. All of this could have been explained to me but instead 3 of the workers huddled behind the register and laughed at me. When I called to complain she said she was in her lunch and couldn’t deal with me right now. My final straw today was my mom bought the wrong shampoo and threw the receipt away. My fault for not keeping it. The way these women talk down to their customers is gross. I’m not sure who gave the customer service class here but it takes no time to be kind or offer an apology. Read moreWho doesn't love ULTA? This is a new store that opened in Avon in the spring. I use the salon and a stylist named Rachel Vest . She is simply amazing! I love the cut and highlight. She has 20+ years experience. Hairstylist are usually creative and artists in their own way. Rachel Vest is all of that and more. The cut she gave me is probably the best and color looks natural. During my visit a group of cosmology students came in for a field trip. Rache, who is also the Salon Manager was so helpful and kind to the group. She shared her own experience and career path in the beauty industry with the young ladies. They watched her techniques and asked questions along the way. Rachel was inspiring to the young girls and really promoted ULTA the company ingeneral. She is truly a dedicated employee and cheerleader on the front line promoting your business. It was like her name was on the building. Read moreI’m writing this review on behalf of my daughter, who visited Ulta recently and left feeling incredibly disheartened by the way she was treated. From the moment she walked in, no one greeted her or offered any assistance. She tried asking a question and was completely ignored, even though she watched the staff actively engage with and welcome other customers around her.
She told me that even during checkout, the associate didn’t say a word—no greeting, no thank you—just a cold stare and a cough in her face, with no apology or acknowledgment. As a parent, it’s upsetting to hear that my daughter felt invisible and disrespected in a store where she should have been treated like any other customer.
No one should ever be made to feel like they don’t belong, especially in a space that’s supposed to be inclusive and welcoming. I hope this feedback encourages a closer look at how customers are being treated and whether biases—conscious or not—are...
