SECOND EDIT: This past tuesday, the technician that was supposed to show up to check the temperature log in our fridge did not show up. I submitted a dispute on my credit card for the charge, hoping it might motivate VV. We heard nothing from them about the missed appointment until today, thursday. I asked about replacing the malfunctioning fridge with a different one. She then started texting me images of new fridges, including one that has a broken deli drawer and one that was smaller (per my request). To me, it seemed like they might be able to knock some money off for a smaller fridge that is broken, especially given how long it has taken them to prioritize our needs. She said no. I quickly looked up similar fridges on Home Depot, and found one for only $200ish more that could be delivered this saturday. So I asked for a full refund and said we could arrange for when they need to pick up their fridge. At this point, she revealed that buried in the middle of the purchasing contract Value Vault "only provides refunds as store credit." However, on the front page it says "the first seven days, customers may request a full refund for any reason, minus a 20% stocking fee." But on this very visible front page, the store credit piece is absent. Just take your business elsewhere. I'm disappointed I fell for this.
EDIT: The business (formerly BWAAM) was recently sold(?) from one wife-husband team to a new wife-husband team. It doesn't seem that the great service has followed the business name so far, but maybe they just need time to get their feet under them.
My community fb group raved about these folks, so as someone who likes to support local businesses and buy second-hand when feasible, I didn't go anywhere else when our fridge finally gave up the ghost. We drove to the old location and discovered they had moved locations. We drove to Avon (from midtown Indy) to pick out a fridge and arrange for delivery. The lady was nice and delivered good service in person. Sadly, that is where our good experiences end. Our fridge was delivered but not quite getting cold enough. We were told to wait on a part. The part was installed and the fridge still isn't cold enough. I call them every day and don't always reach someone and will get a call the next business day about as often as the same business day. It is 15 days since we purchased the fridge ($1200 being a lot of money for our family) and we still don't have a fully functioning fridge. Someone was supposed to come by yesterday to put a temperature log inside the fridge. They no showed. They have since no-call no-showed twice to put in the temperature log. Hoping we can resolve this without small claims court, but it feels unlikely at this point. I would hardly recommend this...
Read moreThe owners here are absolutely amazing! My first time here and they answered any questions I had, they offer 30 day warranty on appliances and also lifetime repairs. (They will charge a small fee to come out and honestly I got so excited about their hospitality and how warm and welcoming they were that I couldn’t remember exactly how the warranty stuff was, so you will need to ask when you are shopping because I don’t want to say it wrong). But it’s a small business and amazing customer service. They also deliver which in my case is a true blessing. This is going to be my first place I stop at before I buy anything to see if they have what I am looking for. They will be getting more stuff in very soon (Ashley furniture, patio furniture, and so on). Thank you both so much for just how amazing you are to my kids and I! And also for accommodating to my needs during the next 4 weeks. (They also have gift cards if you want to get those for a loved one.. or in my case.. my son and daughter n law who bought their first house and need...
