Metro PCS, Cricket Wireless
I must say the sales rep at this location, though he was friendly, I I felt was quite pushy. I did go into the store as a Verizon customer considering switching to their advertised unlimited data plan starting at $30 per month.
The young man spoke so fast I could not understand what he was saying. Additionally, He walked behind me and continued speaking. I walk with a cane due to a disability and I also have a hearing impediment, so as long as I am able to see his face I can read his lips. When I attempted to bring my hearing issue to his attention his response was, " no you cannot hear me because you are too far away". My response back was, excuse me, you are talking so fast and I have a slight hearing issue, unfortunately you sound quite a bit like Charlie Brown's teacher. I can hear noise but I am not able to process it quite as fast as you are providing it to me. I asked him once again if I could trouble him to slow it down for me a bit so I'm able to better understand what he is attempting to tell me. He was polite and obliged.
The biggest I had was with sales technique, but even to a greater extent the companies very confusing agreements.
They state a free phone. It's totally true if you take their free phone it still ends up costing anywhere from 100 to about 149 dollars. I knew nothing was free.
The unlimited data, well available, mmmm, ok yes absolutely. However not at a 30 dollar price of course, that will be 70 or 75 dollars.
Hold on a minute though is this true unlimited data? I asked... Well not exactly. We throttle the data down, and if it's a device Cricket provided to you well you will not be able to use it as a hotspot.
However, If you provided your own device from a different carrier, let's say Verizon, and provide your number and pin to your account we can port it over. At that point our system does not recognize the hotspot as such and will allow true unlimited, unthrottled data, through. This way you could run other devices from your single device utilizing it's data plan.
What I found overall, strictly my opinion based on my own experience, was a typical small cell phone company attempting to lure the uninformed consumer away from their current...
Read moreI went to the money mart. The ladies there were nice and friendly. This was a welcome experience after the horrible time I had at the Walmart trying to cash a check. That bs policy they have on how your check has to match your ID perfectly is wack as f and rather inconvenient. Anyway, the ladies here at money mart helped me out and hooked me up with a reduced fee to cash my check. It...
Read moreDecent mall, it is nice and relatively quiet compared to other malls. They have a Baskin Robbins so we love to go there, and always stop in after we are done at the Leslie's next door. They have a wide variety of food choices, an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, subway, KFC, and McDonald's. The gas station is usually busy but has...
