I regret purchasing our family room furniture from Sheely's Furniture in Aurora, Ohio. My wife and I spent over $6,000 on a furniture set on 10/16/23, expecting quality and good customer service. Unfortunately, one of the items, a chaise lounge, developed a deep depression in the cushion, making it uncomfortable and defective.
When we contacted Sheely’s about the issue, we assumed it would be a straightforward warranty claim. Instead, we were met with a frustrating, drawn-out claims process handled by an agent who works from home, making communication and resolution unnecessarily difficult. After jumping through multiple hoops, we received a denial letter stating that their warranty only covers the fabric and not the internal structure or padding—which is absurd when you’re buying furniture for both aesthetics and comfort.
A reputable furniture store should stand behind its products, especially when customers invest thousands of dollars. The lack of accountability and refusal to resolve a legitimate issue has left us incredibly disappointed. We will not be returning to Sheely’s and strongly recommend that others think twice before purchasing here. Customer service and warranty support should not be this difficult.
May 1, 2025 Addition to my Review on Sheely's !
After initially responding to me that my chase would not be covered under warrantee by Sheely's, I posted my complaint. I later received a very nice call from Lady "M". She said after careful consideration the chase replacement is under warrantee. I waited several weeks and received a call that my chase was ready to pick up at the Aurora store. When I got to store, I received a large cardboard box, which I thought would be the complete chase with cover? As you can see in the picture, I received a large cushion that literally is impossible for me to insert with only one rear zipper. So now after over $6,000 purchase, I have a chase with a large void and a cushion I can't install? Come on Sheely's your better than that!
Still waiting on call back from Melissa in warrantee department, left several messages on...
Read morePaid $900 for a power recliner at Sheely's and bought the extended warranty plan for $140. Seat of chair started listing to the right within three months of purchase. Reported it, and support mechanism was replaced. Service tech said "have to be careful how you sit in it". He assured me that that was not ridiculous. Less than 3 weeks after repair, having same problem. Called Sheely's and pointed out never had this problem before with other chairs. Was told that different chairs are "apples and oranges". The customer service person then likened it to a couch cushion, that will lose its shape if you sit on the edge of it all the time. I suggested that a metal frame should hold up regardless of which side of the chair bears more weight - that a metal chair frame and a couch cushion are truly apples and oranges. BTW - this is wife's chair and she is a small person. We were given no special instructions on how one has to sit in this chair at time of purchase. Maybe this will work out, but we have been denied a refund. And customer "service" at Sheely's is clearly winging it when discussing this. "No" and "We don't do that" seem to be the primary responses, and if one continues to press, it is clear that the goal of Sheely's is to just end the call. Incidentally, we have spent literally tens of thousands of dollars at Sheely's, and this is the only problem we have ever reported. Sheely's handling of it is beyond disappointing. Would suggest...
Read moreOur experience with Sheely's ended poorly with unresolved issues. The customer service was always avoiding the problem at hand. We purchased several appliances from them with free delivery and installation what a deal, right. Until the delivery date(May 22th) had been changed without notification from Sheely's until my husband called to see where they were, that's when found out that the refrigerator was on back order until June 8th.( original order date late April.)In order to get the appliances before we moved into our newly build home we would have to upgrade the refrigerator at a cost plus take delivery when we were out of town.(Wish I would have just canceled.) Long story short some one cracked the brand new countertop. Our builder send a picture immediately to us and we were told by Sheely's we would have to contact their HR person.(May 31st) Wendy final got a hold of my husband (June 5th) he sent her picture of the damage and driver denied any involvement. I made several attempts to speak with Wendy and I asked if there was some one higher up to speak with, she said she would speak with them. I was unable to voice my concern. So I guess I am out $3,000 plus damage thanks for nothing. Had to give one star so I could post...
