I used to love coming into this office but the customer service and experience has definitely gone down the drain. Your appointments consistently get canceled and rescheduled always with the same excuse that the dentist has an emergency. how convenient. and they wait to reschedule a few days before your appointment not even giving enough time to try and adjust your schedule. My appointment has been switched multiple times and usually i’m very patient and understanding but enough is enough. I was in need of a crown and only had the tooth prepped and was told to return to get the crown put in. My last appointment was March 5th and i still don’t have my crown. I spoke to Josh who is the office manager who showed no compassion and only said a few “i understand” and “like i was saying”. Very poor customer service skills on his part and that’s the office manager! No compassion to the fact that i’ve had to now rearrange my schedule multiple times last minute because of the lack of responsibility from their providers. Not to forget he also said he doesn’t know what i want him to do. Which should go with out saying. How about clear communication with ample time to make schedule changes and rearrange appointments??? Because if the patient is late or misses an appointment they’re ready to charge a fee or cancel. Josh offered no apology and when i asked him who his boss was he said it was the head dentist Dr Shah. I asked him how i can speak to doctor shah about the inconvenience because if it’s effecting me im sure it’s interfering with the lives of multiple other patients and Josh responded with you can’t or if you do leave a message it’ll be routed back to me. Hmm kind of odd for a business owner to have very to little interest in the quality of customer service. He even went as far to say they have no dentist available right now to reschedule me for the same date. So if there’s no dentist available is it even a dental office anymore??? Or is it just a bunch of clerical staff consistently inconveniencing patients??? Anyone who has needed dental work knows how uncomfortable it is to deal with dental issues. This is continued delay in my care because their dental staff apparently does not have to show up and complete procedures. This continues to delay my care and since at this time i only have a temporary crown, can result in further complications and damage to my tooth and nerve. But apparently the owner and head dentist Dr Shah does not care about these concerns and he’ll just pass them along to Josh to deal with them. I would like to add Dr Tran is who i was scheduled with. Also on my first appointment for prep work Andrew the dental assistant was putting in my temporary crown and he attempted to put the crown on the wrong side of my mouth and wrong tooth! A tooth that was not even prepped for a crown?? Once he realized his mistake all he said was sorry i’m sleepy. Again Josh offered no apology the words i’m sorry must not be in his vocabulary or something because instead he got mad like if i was calling him to cancel his appointment. I am very patient and very understanding but i’ve had enough and i think now it’s just taking advantage of patients who pay a lot of money for dental work. Very sad that this business is no longer reputable definitely going to look for a new dentist, i don’t have the time to play guessing games on whether or not the dentist will be in. I have a job and it’s not fair to have to constantly try and get coverage and an appropriate schedule to be able to make my appointments in a timely manner and not inconvenience the dentist but they do not have the same respect for their patients. Just another office who is out to get...
Read moreI have only been to this office for wisdom teeth removal so I don't know how the rest of the practice is but I had a pretty awful experience here. The front office is great, very helpful and responsive.
Everything else, not so much. When I came in the day of my removal, I was told I was going to have some pretty substantial nerve damage to my lower lip and jaw about 60 seconds before I went under for the procedure. I was also not told that I would not go home with medications for recovery. Instead, when my caregiver came to pick me up after the procedure, she was given a prescription for the medications that needed to still be filled out. So instead of being able to start antibiotics and pain medications shortly after the procedure, I had to wait hours. Everything that was given to me during the procedure wore off about 45 minutes after the procedure. I was in absolute agony by the time the prescriptions arrived. I wish I would have known I'd have to go elsewhere for the physical medications, it would have saved me a lot of pain and stress. Also, I was only prescribed Tylenol 3 - for 4 wisdom tooth extractions and nerve damage. It was never enough. I was miserable for an entire week. I called to ask for another Tylenol 3 prescription because I ran out early (because I experienced a level of pain that a single pill could not manage) and was told I could not get a refill. I have never known anyone to only be prescribed 3 days worth of Tylenol 3 for a procedure like this. So that's another thing I wish I knew prior so that I could either fight for a stronger prescription or go elsewhere. Lastly, they did not provide any tools to clean the extraction sites. Again, something that is rather common to wisdom teeth removal. Luckily I did have a plastic syringe I could fill with water to spray the extraction sites with. But if I did not have that, I could have easily gotten something stuck and developed an infection. Procuring such a tool for this purpose was also not advised at any point before or after the procedure.
If you plan to have your wisdom teeth extracted here, I would suggest to you: Buy a cleaning tool for your future open wounds, they will not provide one. Call ahead to try to get your medicine prescriptions prior to your procedure so that you will have them by the time you get home from the procedure. Try to get better medications than Tylenol 3 before you need them. Or go to a practice that will provide better care than this...
Read moreOne and done, we will not be coming back. Our original dentist was completely booked and they referred us to Gosford Village Dental Group for a wisdom tooth extraction. Upon our arrival the price we were quoted from our original dentist after insurance was increased by over $105. It turns out they wanted to do a bone graph for a wisdom tooth in case we wanted to add a crown or whatever in the future. Who would replaced a wisdom tooth. Up selling at its best (SMH). Additionally, our appointment time was scheduled for 145pm but we did not get in to see the dentist until after 3pm, completely unacceptable. Once in the back the oral surgeon had zero and I mean zero people skills. He was cold dismissive and refused to listen. Once he started, he started. He applied the numbing gel, gave the novicane shot and started drilling and pulling all within a single minute. He did not allow any time for the medication to take affect. Is technique was rough, very rough. Within minutes after he started he was told to stop because the pain was intense and the medication had not taken affect. His response was "Your not feeling pain, your only feeling pressure." He was told no it's not pressure it's "PAIN". He then appeared irritated gave two more shots of novicane and once again immediately started back drilling after the shot. He made you feel like a heard of cattle rather than a patient. On a positive note, my wisdom tooth did get extracted and he provided a prescription for the pain and antibiotics (thats why 2 stars and not one). Overall, A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and definitely not coming...
