Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in Bakersfield

First, the music is so loud you can't hear the person at the register. I was there on the opening day and ordered the power bowl. All veggies and no rice. It was so good. I went back today and ordered it again. I was charged $1 extra, no big deal. $11.00 for Jr bowl 😞. Again, no big deal. I really wanted the veggies. I got it to go, and much to my surprise, the "veggies" was all cabbage. It literally had 1 small bite of broccoli. I was going to go somewhere else for lunch for a salad as I wanted more veggies than protein but remembered how good the veggies were. Well, I guess the consistency isn't there. It's not like they were busy. I was the only one there and had to wait, so they seemed to have cooked just for me. I'm not sure I will return. It's too much money for what I got in return. ...

I love my Teriyaki and the reviews were great so had to try it. The cashier was welcoming , smiling and called me by my name. She was polite to everyone as they came in and that's why my review is 3 stars and not less. I dined in by myself. Not much seating and I was bummed there is no seating outside. I got the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl with the veggies and brown rice, with a side of edamame. The chicken was pretty good but I wasn't in love with the teriyaki sauce. I liked the mix of veggies but the bowl as a whole just didn't do it for me. Also there was a piece of plastic in the food that mentioned to the cashier so they would know about it. That was a little frustrating. The unsweetened ice tea was not good at all.

The restaurant was spotless, which is always a great sign. But what really stole the show was the food. Made to order and cooked to perfection, my meal was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious.
