#KailashYatra #himalayanglacier #SpiritualJourney Worst tour experience. Lousy hotels, careless management, totally inexperienced operator for Mount Kailsh and Manasarovar trip. Misleading promises that are never fulfilled. Himalayan Glacier is not a choice for complex tours like Mt.Kailash and Manasarovar. Tall claims and Zero fulfillment. Would not go on any tour with Himalayan Glacier and would NOT recommend this operator. This is NO luxury travel. Very sub-standard, below average, sub-optimal tour. It was total "Chaos" at its’ best. Not worth any $$ spent thru this Himalayan Glacier tours. We booked two slots for the September 7th full moon visit to Lake Manasarovar and the subsequent Parikrama [Kora] of Mt.Kailash. From day 1, there was confusion and chaos. NO advance or timely communication on any tour program, NONE of the promises made during booking was ever delivered. Some examples of our agony. A] The bus used for travel in Tibet was a far cry from any luxury standard. Dirty and filthy buses used. B] Even seat reservations based on physical disability/age were NOT done. Travelers are given free hand to choose the seat they like by queuing up near the bus, throwing towels and making reservations. C] The stay in Manasarovar deserved better amenities for the price paid. In Manasarovar, there are two facilities under the same group: Himalayan Glacier, to cut the costs and maximize profits, [at the cost of Yatri's' convenience and health] booked only the bunk bed facility and ignored the needs of high-net-worth customers who paid exorbitant sums to make the journey. D] After arriving at the Kodari border, we had to hike thru an area that was recently affected by landslide. To take the yatris to the immigration post, Himalayan did not arrange any decent transportation. They paraded all the yatris and dumped all of them on to a pick-up truck [ like carrying cattle or carrying plantation workers in some regions] and transported them to the border. Many aged individuals and ladies with physical challenges had tough time, standing in the back of the pick-up truck, while travelling thru muddy and slushy roads. All because of poor attitude of Himalayan Glacier management. E] There is absolutely NO planning. Everything is done in a haphazard manner, with no advance communication. Absolutely ZERO communication. Even a simple WhatsApp group of ALL travelers in the group was NOT created. Instead, information was shared selectively and secretly to few favored individuals and community groups. Hence it is obvious that they were treated with special benefits, attention. G] There is clearly NO expertise in organizing large group tours. They cannot be entrusted upon to help or evacuate during any emergency. ] Lunch while travelling - don't expect any decent way to eat. Himalayan Glacier did not provide even basic seating to eat. If you do not grab a chair in advance, you would stand and eat. But here again they miserably fail due to poor planning, administration and sub-optimal execution J] ALL the expectations of Kailash Yatra were belied. Some Examples: (listed only few) 1) We were supposed to be in Manasarovar for Sept7 full moon. But due to poor arrangements and lack of timely visa application submission, Himalayan Glacier failed to get group visa. 2) Charanprash was promised but not delivered. This sacred act was part of the tour. But Himalayan Glacier suddenly removed this from the program, again blaming government authorities. 3) After completing the Parikrama, on the last day of the journey, we travelled from Saga [in Tibet] to Kathmandu in one day. This excruciating trip tested every nerve of the body, sitting for almost 16 hours. In summary, I would NOT recommend Himalayan Glacier Adventure & Travel Company, for Mt.Kailash/Lake Manasarovar visit. They have NO expertise or organizational ability to arrange highly complex tour with such a large group of 120 yatris. If you need a peaceful, good and luxury tour, choose some...
Read moreMe and my wife, along with my high school friend and his wife, recently had the pleasure of experiencing a trip to Kailash organized by this team, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service. From the moment we began our journey, every detail was meticulously planned and executed, making for a truly memorable experience.
Our trip started with two days of a local tour in Kathmandu, which was a perfect introduction to the rich culture and heritage of the region. This was followed by a beautiful and spiritual Pashupatinath Temple puja, setting the tone for the spiritual journey ahead. We also had the privilege of performing a puja at Mansarovar before we began our journey to Kailash, which was a deeply moving experience.
The food provided throughout the trip was excellent, with a variety of delicious meals that catered to all dietary preferences. It was clear that a lot of thought went into ensuring that everyone was well-nourished and satisfied.
The arrangements were top-notch, with every aspect of the journey, from transportation to accommodation, handled seamlessly. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the spiritual and scenic beauty of Kailash without any worries.
What really stood out, though, was the friendly and attentive staff. They were always there to assist with a smile, making us feel comfortable and cared for throughout the trip. Their local knowledge and passion for the region added a special touch to the experience.
I highly recommend Himalayan Glacier to anyone looking for a well-organized, stress-free, and enriching journey. They truly went above and beyond to make our trip...
Read moreMy father and I recently had the privilege of embarking on the Kailash Yatra with Himalayan Glacier, and I cannot express enough how extraordinary the experience was. From the moment we set off until the final farewell, every detail was meticulously attended to, ensuring a journey that was as comfortable as it was spiritually enriching.
One of the standout aspects of this pilgrimage was the unwavering dedication of the Himalayan Glacier team. The founder, Sagar, along with his incredible staff—Sanket, Bir Bahadur, Dewa, and others—were not only with us every step of the way but also participated in the arduous 52KM parikrama. Despite the physical demands of the journey, they were always available to cater to our needs, ensuring we were well-fed, comfortable, and safe.
The team's commitment to our well-being was truly inspiring. There were days when the staff operated on little to no sleep, yet their enthusiasm and support never wavered. Whether it was setting up camps, preparing meals, or simply offering a reassuring presence, their dedication was evident in every action. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, often anticipating our requirements before we even voiced them.
Himalayan Glacier exemplifies what it means to provide exceptional service. Their dedication, hard work, and attention to detail ensured that our Kailash Yatra was a profound and transformative journey. I highly recommend Himalayan Glacier to anyone considering this sacred pilgrimage. Thank you, Sagar, Sanket, Bir Bahadur, Dewa, and the entire Himalayan Glacier team, for making this an experience...
