$4.95 for "FREE Bacon"
When I walked into the restaurant, I had to wait at the hostess table with 3 employees behind it for them to finish their conversation. Not a big deal, only a moment or two of waiting before I was acknowledged while one server tried unwelcomely to hit on another. I placed my name down for the 30 minute wait and received a text that my table was ready in a timely manner. When I got back to the restaurant to be seated, I had to wait again to be acknowledged while a server and the manager had an argument about seating. Again, not too big an issue, but something worth noting. Once we got seated, it took several minutes for our server to look at us, let alone ask what we would like to drink. She walked past us several times while obviously avoiding eye contact before she finally asked what we would like to drink. When she came I asked about the "Free Bacon" they had on their menu for following them on social media and she gave me a nod and walked away almost as soon as I brought it up, I did not mention it again and never received any bacon. I ordered the breakfast nachos which arrived stale and room temperature with cold eggs. I then ordered the brunch bowl which was also disappointing, but I could only eat a few bites before I started feeling nauseous from the nachos. After watching the server avoid eye contact again for a considerable amount of time I finally got the check and was appalled to see I was charged $4.95 FOR FREE BACON. I NEVER got any bacon. I NEVER asked for any bacon. Also, who in their right mind would program the computer to have a button that charged ANYTHING for FREE bacon??? What is the point of that? I am baffled that it was even possible to read on a receipt "1 FREE Bacon .... $4.95"
I left the Iron Rooster in Canton with disbelief, nausea and only TWO cups of bottomless coffee. The food was bad, the service was bad, and table placement was bad (I was at a two top against a wall, if the other person I was with wasn't left handed we would have bruises on or elbows like soldiers in bootcamp). ALSO the mimosas were $14 and the champagne they use is a $6 BOTTLE. This entire place is a scam from charging $4.95 for FREE bacon (I still cannot believe there is a button for that) to the $6 BOTTLE they use to make $14 mimosas. WOULD NOT...

On 1-26-25 @ 1:58p, six of us went to the Iron Rooster on Boston Street for lunch. I’d called ahead to inform the restaurant of the group size, asked for the wait time, & was told 15-20 mins. When we arrived, our friend put her name on the wait list for us and was told the wait would be 20-25 mins.
While waiting inside, several individuals came in and were seated. Our friend received a text saying that our table was ready. We were taken to a table to be seated but was then told the table wasn’t for us. My friend showed the front desk staff the text message. However, they told her that the message she received was a mistake and they didn’t know how that happened?!?!?
I then asked the front desk if we could be seated upstairs since people were eating up there, but was told that area was closed. After still waiting, I went to the front desk again, and asked the staff when would we be seated since we received the message. They said they didn’t know. Due to poor customer service and not being seated, we left.
I have been to this establishment many times before and I had never experienced such piss-poor service until yesterday. Being someone who’s been & worked in the restaurant business, management should have sat the six of us in the “closed” area that still had customers eating, placed our order, and then helped with serving the table until a waitress was available to assist. This would have rectified the situation of us receiving a text message saying our table was ready only to be told that it wasn’t ours but...
