I very rarely leave a negative review. There is too much negativity in the world today.
But I am making an exception as this Target location has managed to make me about as unsatisfied as a customer can get. I will not be back.
My fiance and I decided to give this Target another shot after avoiding for an extended period, but this proves to us that the employees and managers at this Target do not take their jobs or their customers seriously.
We had an issue with a $10 off $40 coupon for household goods that made no sense given that the sign for said coupon was hanging all over the household goods section. We asked the cashier to void some items and she instead voided the whole transaction. We were in self checkout so we had to empty our bags and start all over.
We took the items in question to customer service and asked the manager on duty for clarification that she was not able to provide. Instead the manager (older blond woman with curly hair) was very unhelpful and actually rather insulting and rude.
She shrugged and said it must be one of our items because it wasn't pictured in the ad, but there was nothing for that category of product pictured. Her assumption is that the coupon must be for items pictured items even though several categories of products listed on the coupon were not pictured in the circular.
We felt talked down to and like she didn't want to be bothered to figure out the problem with the coupon.
As my fiance and I were walking away from the customer service desk, where they did NOT solve our problem, she and the customer service representative actually a good laugh at our expense!!
I stopped and stared because I was so shocked. She didn't even flinch. That is appalling behavior on the part of a manager. It's no wonder the employees don't...
Read moreI recently visited Target. I bought a toaster oven. The box was not damaged. I reached home, opened the box, and the toaster had a dent and no electrical chord or spot for the chord. It was completely left out of manufacturing. Target customer service insist I must return it to the store for a refund. The issue, I walked 1 hour from my home to the store, bought a $59 toaster, paid a car service $10to bring me home and they refuse to send a shipping label for me to ship it back. Now it cost me another $10 to go back to Target to return it. I saved $20 because I walked the 1st time one way, and I walked back the 2nd time. A $59 toaster would cost $40 to return if I did not walk. In the end, i lost $20 today. I should be happy it was not $40. Walking saved $20. I offered Target to return my funds after I shipped it, and they received it. They refused!!!
This system is awful!!! Target sold a bad product, and now the customer has to pay gas. If they drive , bus fare if they take the bus or car fares to return a product that they are responsible for selling. It is their responsibility to be fair to their customers. A customer should not have a pay extra to have a product returned if purchase in store. Or lose out of pocket money and not have the product they intended to purchase, horrible!!!!
Change this system, Target, be fair to all your customers, not only the online ones but also the ones that take the time to come in person and shop in your store.
Horrible system you have hare regarding returns and...
Read moreThis Halloween, are you looking for an authentic experience in dystopian late stage capitalism? If so, look no further than your local Target.
If you manage to survive the parking lot, which is full of speeding SUVs, panhandlers, and windblown garbage, you’ll immediately be greeted by a line of people waiting to check out that stretches around the corner. The time of day has no relevance here. If the store is open, it will be understaffed. You can bet on that.
Next you’ll browse the merchandise, which is bafflingly disorganized. Don’t even bother trying to use curbside pickup because the inventory is always wrong. And if you checked to see if something was in stock prior to driving over, that was a fool’s errand.
Did you manage to find stuff to buy? It’s time to join the endless queue of shoppers, waiting to check themselves out with a bank of poorly functioning self check out machines! There’s a 90% chance you will need assistance to check out which is why they should just staff registers in the first place. But they won’t.
The cherry on top of this experience is that other Target stores are not like this. I routinely work outside the Beltway and stores in the suburbs are clean, organized, I generally check you out quickly unless you are shopping at peak hours. Don’t waste your time...
