My son never liked or accepted ANY TYPE of inpatient stay However, My son was transferred to The University Of Maryland Campus. My son called me and asked me to give a good google review to the University Of Md. This is a behavior my son has NEVER displayed. He said the staff was making sure he’s comfortable He said the staff are answering all of his questions and not ignoring any of his concerns He said the security officer’s there treats him with kindness and respect. He sounds bored but he sounds happy He sounds safe He sounds like he can now focus on the reason why he is there and not have to focus on his safety within his surroundings He said a special Thanks to Miss Alonna and Miss Michelle for their time , love and assistance in making him feel important Our children are our gifts from God & When it comes to our children we always want to know that they are safe, happy not struggling for anything. Thank You University Of Maryland for making my son feel like he’s home when he is away from home. You are the vision of what it’s like to be loved. A million hugs back atcha!! Donnetta McCormick

I've been waiting over 4 hours with my son 😔... they didn't even check his vitals.. he was crying when we got here because of a ear ache.. now he's sleep and I been ready to leave. From the time I came in the door... no air and it's dirty in here... but I need to make sure my son is well before we leave... never again.. I'll called pediatric doctor next time šŸ¤¦šŸæ

I’m happy to say THANK YOU TO THE registration check in, OR surgery, recovery room , and the 4th Floor North team. I have never gone through admission and registration of a hospital so fast before. It was amazing and friendly. Surgery was 5 1/2 hours long so THANK YOU to the surgeons and staff who help with my long surgery. Everyone was friendly and helpful every step of the way. The fourth floor team who helped with all my care after surgery were amazing. They took their time with me and made sure i had everything i needed. It is hard to remember everyone but i need to make a few call outs to Tynaya who thought of ever little detail to help with my recovery. Grace and Sade who tried so hard to get my meds straightened out. Soma and Felicia thank you for all your help and trying to make me feel better. Jovy welcomed me on my first night after surgery when i really was in a lot of pain. Jovy and Tynaya really made me feel better and took excellent care of all my needs. All with a smile and attitude of this was their normal way they help all patients. It really made my recovery easier. Shawna was always helpful. I also want to shout out how kind the PT AND to OT teams are. Creative and there to help in every way. Thank you to the pharmacist who visited me upon my discharge. BIG BIG Thank you to Miriam the Physician Assistant who helped get me discharged much quicker than i thought possible. There are car many others who helped in dietary, who tried hard to get the foods i enjoy. Plus the housekeeper who helped clean my room with a smile when i was feeling lousy. All staff asked if I needed anything more. Even when it wasn’t their job to do what I asked. Thank You to the security and check in people. All were super friendly. Even though my surgery was difficult and painful I appreciated all those that tried to make it easier on me and my...

Pictures taken of the room in the Post Acute Specialty Program 6th floor in January 2017 but as of July 2017 nothing had changed. 8/15/2017-UPDATE: My Brother is no longer with us, he died at this facility. If you care about your loved one, do what ever it takes to keep them from being placed in the Post Acute Specialty Program-6th Floor! The pictures I have of the rooms where patients are on respirators would make you cringe. If you have no other choice, then visit your loved one as much as possible to make sure they are really being cared for. If your lucky, you may get one of only two sitters that really cared about my bothers care. We came to visit my brother and found him in a state of almost full unconsciousness, the sitter thought he was asleep? It took the staff 45 minutes to get him into ICU-that was May my brother passed in July. My brother is now at what they call a hospital for rehab. It has to be the dirtiest, over neglected facility in the state of Maryland. You cannot even see out of the windows for the dirt and the window shades either don't work or are falling down. Forget air condition, fans running everywhere. The vents to the air conditioner are filthy as well. It is suppose to be a rehab facility but I feel you will need rehab after you leave. Wipe your feet on the way out. I truly feel for the people that live in this area who HAVE to depend on this hospital for medical care. Insurance is probably the reason most people are sent here, not the care for which you are told but to cut down on expenses. Shame on whoever is in charge of this facility. I don't think even the health department bothers to check this place out. GOD Bless the neighboring community that relies on this hospital (and I use this term loosely) for medical care. HAD TO GIVE ONE STARE BECAUSE YOU CANNOT...

This is the worst hospital I have ever been too… I had no choice to come cause my orthopedic surgeon is only licensed to operate at this hospital… I had to have 2 toes amputated… I couldn’t walk and I was left for hours with no help to the bathroom… I finally just attempted to use the bathroom on my own cause I couldn’t hold it any longer… needless to say I fell badly … I pulled the emergency string in the bathroom… they took 20 minutes of me laying on the ground in the bathroom before someone came to check on me… a nurse not mine at the time came .. was so rude had such a awful attitude… said to me what do you expect me to do??? I can’t pick you up… had to wait another 30 minutes for my male nurse to come and he brought a tech to finally help me up… I was in so much pain the doctor came and said she would increase my pain medication I waited over 24 hours of me constantly asking had she changed it yet… got excuses after excuses… finally I just left MIA … against medical advice… they didn’t even care I was leaving… smh … didn’t try to stop me or help change my mind … I Have to come here next Thursday to get another Toe amputated and I’m dreading it so badly… I wish I could go somewhere else anywhere else would be better then here… I wouldn’t even bring my pets here … I wish they would shut this hospital down… Iv read years of reviews on this hospital and how badly people are treated there care is the worst and yet nothing is being done cause up to now things are the same if not worse … I pray my experience next week is not the same and I can be...
