Terrible customer service. Store is filled with suburban wives that need something to do when their kids leave home.
I went to return an unused packaged item. I didn't have the gift receipt so I had called William Sanoma ahead and asked if they could scan the bar code that was on the package to locate the receipt. They had told me yes a store can do this.
I walk into this store and tell the lady I have a return and potential exchange. Lady rudely asks me for my gift receipt and I tell her I do not have it but customer service told me the store could locate it with the barcode, billing address, and name of buyer. And she looks at me says "no that's impossible." And I look at her and ask "why would someone at customer service tell me otherwise?" She continues to say it's not possible and a colleague steps in and begins walking her through the process on their computers.
Just because you don't know how to do something doesn't make it impossible... And don't try to turn things around by commenting on how nice my nails look - they don't bc I got them done over two weeks ago... Just try and be more pleasant to your customers.
I came to this store bc I was closer to it running other errands but I'd much rather drive the extra 30 mins and deal with thousands of people at Colombia Mall than come to this store ever again. Which btw is located in what looks like a retirement community and o yes there's a Talbot...
Read moreWe visited the Cross Keys Williams Sonoma this evening for some holiday gift shopping. We have been frequent shoppers of this chain and have purchased countless items in the past from both the Towson and Columbia locations. Because of the Towson closure, we decided to try this location. We walked around the store for over 45 minutes without a single person offering us help. While actively looking over the features of the espresso machines, a sales person suddenly appeared; without even acknowledging our presence, they attempted to push us out of the way as though we were not there, while giving priority to another couple by answering their useless questions that did not even seem related to espresso making. (For the clueless snobby couple, no, it won't keep your coffee hot because it's not a coffee maker). The older sales man in the All Clad area wouldn't even look at us, even though he was standing just a few feet away. He shadowed us without asking us if we needed any assistance. The entire visit was very off-putting. After this experience, we will stick with Sur La Table, Crate and Barrel, or any other decent...

A full week later, I get an email saying that they won't be able to get me that air fryer, but there's another model they're going to automatically send me if I don't respond and here's it's serial number. After some work I found the substitute model, which retails for 60% the cost of what I had bought. And get this, the original model I wanted is still on sale and stocked online but is going for $100 more! And get THIS, when I responded to the email it came back as undeliverable! Beyond being an obviously illegal advertising fraud, it's just a shameful dishonest way for a business to operate. There are other retailers that can sell you the same brands... Why do business with crooks? I'm going to enjoy reporting them to the consumer scams enforcement division at...
