NEGATIVE 5 STARS - (I reject facilities response to my original review. No new system changes can change how the human's respond and treat the client. Nothing has changed!!!!!)
Updated my review to reflect what appears to be deceptive billing practices or a blatant unwillingness to define the fee increase.
This facility has overbilled me for 3 visits in December 2024. They have doubled, tripled, and over quadrupled in my usual cost that I've paid since 2021.
Until December 2024 my bills have been the same range of cost for care. I've attempted to get answers from billing, the clinic staff, clinic manager, & CEO to explain how my cost skyrocketed despite no change in services provided. Nobody can answer me. Nobody will answer me.
I went to the clinic manager, in an attempt to have the increase explained, I was lied to. I asked if a cash paying client would pay 1600 dollars for a 40-minute osteopathic visit. He replied yes. I got proof from the revised bill, that still remains outrageously high, that the 1600 was an error. Never lie to a client, all trust is immediately lost.
Nobody in the clinic or billing department can define a "clinic" fee and what that entails. This is separate from the doctor (provider fee). If nobody can define what it means I can only draw the conclusion that something about that fee is deceptive. It appears to fall under a generalized code, unspecifieed.
I appear to be double billed for a simple visit for a prescription refill.
My other 2 bills were for the same service, same time length, with the same doctor , yet both bills are significantly different. They refuse to give me a detailed explanation of what care was provided that would cause such an increase in cost.
I've spent almost 2 months trying to have them correct my bill or define the increase and what care was provided. I innocently thought this was a simple error that would be immediately corrected. Instead, I've come to find that not one person can define the clinic fee. They can't or are unwilling to give an estimated fee of a doctor visit despite having me as a client for 4 years.
Original review This clinic has a very high turnover of Dr.s creating a continuity of care problem. They want you to have new dr. evaluation which costs money and then before you see the Dr again, they are gone, creating a revolving door of income, for the clinic.
They will preemptively deny you medical maintenance care without having seen the patient. Having a long term, chronic issue and after years of trial and errors on medications, want to take away what keeps one stabilized.
One Dr is okay with all medical care and others are not. If a patient is established client and you are promised a new dr., one would think your care would transition smoothly. Instead, create anxiety in a patient and cause the patient to spend extra money to see 2 different drs, in the same clinic. The needed prescription appt is given to the doctor who does not know me and will soon leave the clinic.
It's sad to see the direction healthcare has taken over the years. I worked in healthcare for years and I think this is unacceptable treatment of patients. Denial without an alternative path is not treating...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSTARTED OUT POSITIVE WITH DOCTOR EVANS AND AUSTIN IN THE E.R. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COMPASSION. ANOTHER SHOUT OUT TO NURSE DENISE AND NURSE V. YOU WERE BOTH AMAZING, CARING AND SUPPORTIVE! AS FOR THE DOCTOR THAT TOLD ME MY MOM WASN'T GOING TO MAKE IT. SHAME ON YOU, AND A FEW SELECT, OTHER STAFF MEMBERS . I WAS GIVEN SO MUCH CONFLICTING MEDICAL INFORMATION ABOUT MY MOM. IT'S. LIKE YOU SAW HER AS A EIGHTY NINE YEAR OLD WOMAN WITH A BROKEN ARM AND JUST WROTE HER OFF. WHEN I ASKED FOR EXPEDITED HOSPITAL BED DELIVERY BECAUSE OF THE RURAL AREA MY MOM WAS IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM ALL CARE EXCEPT PAIN MANAGEMENT. I'M GOING TO SAY THAT HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH CASE MANAGEMENT. I DIDN'T ASK FOR THAT, BUT AFTER EVERYTHING, INCLUDING A REPORT TO ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES. THEY HAVE CLEARED ME BY THE WAY. I COULDN'T WAIT TO GET HER OUT OF THERE. I WILL GET HER STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE HER BACK TO CALIFORNIA WHERE SHE'S GOT A WHOLE TEAM OF DOCTORS AND CARE PROFESSIONALS THAT WILL FIX HER ARM AND ALLOW HER TO LIVE LIKE SHE WANTS TO. YES YOU SAY THERE WERE OTHER THINGS WRONG WITH HER BUT YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW SHE ONLY HAD ONE KIDNEY. HER HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS WERE DOWN BECAUSE SHE WAS BLEEDING FROM THE BROKEN BONE IN HER ARM THAT YOU DECIDED SHE WASN'T WORTH FIXING. I AGAIN ONLY USING INITIALS BUT DOCTOR F. WAS ON BOARD WITH WHAT I WANTED, TO GET MY MOM STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE HER HOME NOT SEND HER HOME ON COMFORT CARE. UNFORTUNATELY I ONLY SAW THAT DOCTOR ONE DAY WHILE I WAS THERE. AND NOW APPARENTLY HOME HEALTH OR HOSPICE CARE DOESN'T HAVE A DEFINITIVE DIAGNOSIS TO EVEN SIGN HER UP. I AM ANGRY , DISAPPOINTED AND DETERMINED TO GET MY MOM THE HEALTHCARE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm very glad to have Southern Coos Hospital, to have an option for an emergency to I don't have to drive an hour to get medical attention when it's urgent. They are a good place for a blood draw, and they treated my mother well when we had to go in because she had gotten severely dehydrated and had an internal infection. I've always been treated professionally and promptly.
I had to edit this, as getting the results from my blood tests took over a month and three phone calls. My instructions for sending the results to myself and to an outside doctors office were ignored until I called. In the final effective phone call, my request over the phone was hopefully going to be followed, but now I wonder if she's actually going to verify that I did request this (which I did, over a month ago) or if she's going to fax the results to the other provider based on my phone call. Whatever. An apology and some mild feeling that the mistake was recognized as such would have been helpful, but was not...
