A pastry drama in two acts... Act I: My girlfriend and I visit Pastries and Pizza at 8:44 AM. Greeted by the bubbly, happy woman behind the counter, we place our order for a powdered sugar donut filled with lemon for my girlfriend, and two cakey donuts for me (maple frosted with chocolate sprinkles and chocolate frosted with chocolate sprinkles). We enjoyed the magic of Circles in the Sand for an hour and a half, which left us happy but cold from the constant wind on the beach... We retreated to our car to enjoy our treats (maple donut for me). Bliss.
Act II: Four hours later, we reach the top of Humbug Mountain just south of Port Orford, and the chocolate frosted donut makes the perfect dessert for our post-picnic hike.
Pastries & Pizza is the best locals' spot we found in Bandon. Prices are ridiculously low, quality is nom nom nom nom yummy (my girlfriend is a supertaster, so when she says, "Wow! This is the real deal " when she got her first taste of the lemony filling, I tend to believe her), the service is awesome, and it's super convenient.
My only regret is I didn't leave room for pizza. All the more reason...

Floorplan had changed since my last visit when it used to be another establishment so when I went to the bathroom I tripped over a table blocking the way and because my kidneys are shutting down I ended up having an accident. Then an employee beat on the door because I apparently was taking too long when I was trying to clean up. I spoke with an employee when I came out and suggested they may want to change the placement of the table stating I didn't remember it being there to which she rolled her eyes and said "that's because it's a different business" as if I should have automatically known. I let her know I had no idea because they still had the sign for the other. Even with that treatment I started to say I liked them because I've always felt relaxed by their friendly personality and was about to order when she walked away saying they weren't friendly and she had work to do . It says something when the employees themselves say they aren't friendly. I will never return and I do NOT recommend to even my...

It's a bit of a hole in the wall with not much in the way of seating, but don't be alarmed! The ladies were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions for places to visit while we were in the area and directions for an outdoor seating area. We took a short three minute drive to the downtown and ate on the dock. We would have driven through without seeing this if we hadn't stopped for the pizza and that would have been a shame. Bandon's downtown is quaint with neat little shops. But back to the food! We ordered a large pizza and two cookies and it was only $14! Such a steal! Not only was the pizza great, she threw in a few extra treats, with a wink and a smile! If you like a good thick crust pizza and melt in your mouth butter cookies, take a chance and pop in. You...
