Prices are getting too high. Everything has gone up considerably. $5.99 for a t-shirt. They used to have half off on certain color tags all week. Now they only do that on Sundays. Since the recent remodel, there is a lot of new merchandise, priced just like retail. The thrift store isn't thrifty anymore.
The service has declined terribly too. The other day, I stood at the counter for five minutes while two employees had a conversation behind the counter, and never once acknowledged me. One said to the other that she wasn't logged into the till and didn't want to get in trouble. Okay, but maybe you could fetch someone who can help me (there were at least three other people nearby, arranging stock), or at the very least, greet me like a person instead of ignoring me entirely?
Skip this one. Do yourself a favor and shop at the Salvation Army down the road instead, where it's still cheap...
Read moreGoodwill has nice staff and good selections. Although items such as VHS tapes has been said to take up to much space by upper management/corporate and they don't make a lot of money on them and it has been said they wanted to discard them to a recycling center to be destroyed. As well 8 tracks and cassettes I'm sure along with records. It shouldn't b about the money you make on them or that they take up to much space allegedly. There's plenty of space. Stuffed animals are on a shelf and those take up a lot more space in my opinion and can not b stacked as well as previouslyb mentioned items. And useless clear glass stuff that sits and sits and no one buys it. Discard that trash. Please do not stop carrying VHS tapes, cassettes, 8 tracks and records please and thank you! Sincerely a...
Read moreThis is NOT a thrift store anymore! When Walmart is cheaper than Goodwill, I don't know what you call Goodwill! There are more Target, Amazon, and Home Depot pallet items at the Goodwill stores now, than thrift items too. AND their prices!!! WHAT???!!! This store is supposed to be for not only for people who need help getting a job, but also the poor people in the community who can't afford to shop at the new stores. This store sells salt and pepper shakers separately! $2 each!!! Childrens books are $1.49? Poor kids! Poor parents! And the good stuff to buy there, they take to their online store and sell for an enormous profit, so their executives can make all the money. Good grief. Where's the "good will" in Good will??? At least Salvation Army puts money back into the...
