ALDI — Local services in Bangor Township

I goto aldi's in west branch and midland and the reason I give this aldi 3 stars is because more than half of the times I go they don't have ranch dressing and when they do have it I buy 3 bottles because it's so hard to get, I like the aldi brand ranch better than kraft or hidden valley so I really need it. Also they are always out of Burman mayo which forces you to buy hellmans the most expensive mayo. Also commonly out of boxed Mac n cheese and boxes of instant potatoes. All of these things are staple items for me, that I specifically goto aldis to get. I am still a big aldis fan but unless I'm buying produce or meat here I have to goto a different aldi. I think more stock needs to be ordered due to bay city's population needs, people might be panic-buying these things because they...

While this is certainly a great alternative to many big box marts, there are drawbacks too. Some pros/cons for our household.

Pros: Can get household staple dry goods rather cheaply. On par with sav-a-lot but better quality, I would say. Affordable organic products a plenty as well. Interesting items are released each Sunday that are 'big lots' quality but often cheaper for that week. Yummy European Chocolate at a much cheaper price than Frankenmuth.

Cons: The produce and dairy products (milk and cheese), always seem to go bad far quicker than kroger or wally world. They never make it to the expiration date and often go bad 3 or more days prior. We've not had much luck with that.

Aldi will forever be my favorite place to shop. Quality items at unbeatable prices. You pretty much know what to expect.

I will say Ive noticed a slight increase in prices, but that is the same everywhere you go. Still prices are significantly lower than anywhere else.

The only thing to watch out for is sometimes you get the cashier that roughly throws everything into your cart (not so great on the chips).. But its only once in awhile. I imagine they are the employees that usually work in the back and are coming out front to help when its busy. It kind of happens to fast to mention it in the moment.
