Banner Elk Olive Oil & Balsamics — Local services in Banner Elk

First, product is good - no issue there. However I have purchased similar oils in other places and will look elsewhere next time. I purchased almost $200 of olive oil for myself and gifts. The woman working was almost rude - not very friendly. When I mentioned it is rather sad you can’t taste them any longer (because of COVID); she kind of snapped at me that she didn’t know what the big deal was as we purchase groceries at a store without tasting. Could have definitely been worded differently.

On a side note, there is a sign on the door about being careful not to let dog out. I did not see a dog, but it did smell kind of like a wet dog in the store. Not very appealing.

What a bad experience! Walked into the shop after a group of four walked in ahead of me. Each of us had several bottles we were on the hunt for. The women working was beyond annoyed that any of us were asking for her help. Her abrasive attitude was absolutely obnoxious, I guess she was annoyed that she wasn’t able to wipe down the tins she was cleaning. I’m sorry are we bothering you by making purchases? I finally left without buying anything because the way she was treating the other four was unacceptable. I would rather waste money on shipping from a different olive oil company than giving my business to rude and disrespectful people. I think it’s time for the owners to reevaluate your employees!! HORRIBLE...

Went by 4 different times and it was never open yet online it says it opens at 10. I don’t know how anyone can expect to do business when they are never open during there open hours and are closed 3 days out of the week. When I finally tried once more and they were open the lady working there was super rude when I asked about the open hours online. She told me if I didn’t like how she ran her business I could shop elsewhere so I will do exactly that. I left without purchasing anything. There is a store just like this one at the beach I would rather drive all the way there and deal with the nicer people at that place, then to ever deal with this...
