Merritt Creek Farm — Local services in Barboursville

We will definitely be going back in the fall for the pumpkins and also there for Christmas if they have the trees there.. you couldn't ask for nicer friendlier people. They welcome us like we was family. It is a very beautiful farm. I supprised the wife and took her to see the sun flowers, she loves them.. she was so supprised and happy.. they have a very nice sun flower patch. Just make sure you contact them to make sure they are in bloom. It is definitely work a car ride to see.. they also told us they are working on putting a b&b which we will definitely be trying when it is ready.. they have a very nice little produce stand there as well.. and also if your a hunter they will be doing bird hunts in the fall. If you are looking for a variety of stores in one location without going into the mall, them Merritt Creek Plaza is a great place to start. It offers a wide variety of stores and plenty of parking. The main stores are Target, Home Depot, and Pet Co. There is also a very popular Starbucks store and a great family-run Thai restaurant. If you are anything like me and loathe going into the mall, then this is the place for you. 5 Below and Buff City Soap are the new stores in the plaza. WAS a most excellent shopping center has great restaurants, variety of large & small stores, office depot (excellent staff ,& supplies)PetCo, ,Home depot, Marshall's etc.

Would have given a 5 star, but my favorite hobby store A C Moore closed down. It was one of the most active & popular hobby stores of the 3 in the area. No one could understand why it closed, everyone complained. The shopping center lost 1/2 of its business from Moores closing. Sorry, but I only go for Office depot & PetCo, now,. Has too many businesses leaving center, & too many vacant stores not refilled. They need to do something to get...
