I went in to question an increase on my March bill which had no explanation for a $15 plan change fee. There were no changes made and all the other charges for lines etc. matched my last bill exactly. While Michael, the manager promoted a new “free” phone promotion which I declined, I only wanted an answer to explain my increase. I was told I was I was on an old plan and could save money and they took care of that. My salesman followed the managers directions to do that however never addressed the already inflated bill for which I came in. I was asked and declined autopay. I was told my bill would be lowered by $80. The following month my new bill arrived and was increased once again by another $30 over the previous months increase making it now a $45 increase over 2 months again without explanation. Although the bill said I was receiving a $60 credit (not 80) that only meant that my bill would have been over $100 more. When I went in speak to Michael, he offered to call Verizon in store with me but I could no longer afford to accept their “help”. I cut my losses, went a few doors down and switched services. First, he didn't try to make me feel like he was "trying" to sell me anything, it was just a normal conversation. Second, he was so patient - I got to the store around 630. The store was closing at 7. He didn't make me feel rushed or pressured to make decisions because he was supposed to be getting off work 30 minutes after I arrived. Thirdly, after the store closed he mentioned that his birthday was the next day. I was impressed that Darren focused more on our conversations and answering my questions than trying to get me out of the store quicker because he had plans to celebrate his 21st birthday!
