Ambrosia's Greek Restaurant in Bartlett is nothing short of amazing! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The dĂŠcor blends traditional Greek charm with modern touches, setting the perfect stage for a memorable dining experience.
The food is absolutely phenomenal â truly a taste of Greece right here in the suburbs! We started with the saganaki, which arrived flaming and full of flavor. The tzatziki was incredibly fresh and creamy, paired perfectly with warm pita bread. For our mains, we had the lamb souvlaki and the moussaka, and both were absolutely mouthwatering. The lamb was tender and seasoned to perfection, and the moussaka had that rich, comforting taste that only comes from authentic family recipes.
Portion sizes are generous, and everything tasted homemade with high-quality ingredients. Even the side Greek salad was crisp and perfectly dressed. Donât skip dessert â the baklava was flaky, sweet, and not overly rich. A perfect end to a wonderful meal.
Service was impeccable â friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. You can tell the staff truly care about their guests and take pride in the food they serve.
Whether you're a longtime lover of Greek cuisine or trying it for the first time, Ambrosia's delivers a top-tier experience that stands out in every way. This family-run spot is a true gem in Bartlett. We canât wait...
Read moreI visited Ambrosia today for lunch. I was looking for Greek Chicken with rice and oven roasted potatoes and Egg Lemon soup, if they have it. I was not disappointed. They have everything I was craving for.
When I walked in, I was welcomed warmly by the lady behind the counter. Feeling welcomed in my very first visit is a plus. She made me feel like I'm a regular.
My total bill was $14 something with a bottled water.
The soup arrived first. It was served hot. It's as if they just finished cooking the soup then served it to me. I actually burned the roof of my mouth a bit but in a good way. The soup really hit the spot because it's a bit chilly outside and I haven't had anything for breakfast.
Then, the Greek Chicken arrived. I wish I took a picture of it but, I guess, I'm so hungry I just started digging in.
In regards to the soup, I've had Egg Lemon soup in other locations before and this one's on the thin side. What I mean is it's not creamy. Maybe their style's this way. I'm used to the creamy Egg Lemon soup.
In regards to the chicken, it's delicious but this is the first time I've had Greek Chicken smothered with a chicken gravy looking thing. Same with the potatoes. I'm more used to the chicken being roasted, finished with a crisp skin with a little olive oil, lemon, and garlic.
My experience here during lunch was a positive one. Bartlett's lucky to have Ambrosia in their neighborhood.
Next time, I just might bring my family with me.
Thank you for your...
Read moreWow! Calling this place a âlittle gemâ might be an understatement. Tucked away in a little strip mall off 59 & Stearns is some truly amazing food. We may have ordered an inordinate amount of food for 2 people, and ate every last bit. The saganaki was melty with a nice crust on top and lemon; dolmades were full of flavor, moist, and the lemon sauce was super tasty; and the spanakopita was nice and crispy. All of these apps/ sides were delicious, but the true highlight was the entrees. I had the gyro in a pita; the pita was super fluffy and light, the gyro meat was so tender, and although I shouldnât have and barely squeezed it all in, I ate the whole thing. Not to mention the fresh cut fries with the skin on (personal fav). My boyfriend had the special lamb shank entree with rice and Greek potatoes. You just touched the lamb with your fork and it was fall apart tender with amazing flavor! Oh, and the lamb dish came with soup or salad so we tried the avgolemono which had great lemon flavor. I wonder if they were just looking at us wondering how two people just ate all that, but it was worth the definite food coma it put us in. Then, to top it all off, I couldnât resist ordering the loukoumades - these little Greek donuts in honey - to go of course, there was no way we could physically eat any more at the moment. I added the walnuts on top; and wow! Even later on when we finally had room to eat them, they were great. Highly recommend this place and we will...
