Lazy Creek Pet Food Center — Local services in Batesburg-Leesville

This store has something other pet supply stores just don’t have: AMAZING staff! Victoria and Halley are the reason I don't go to the SLIGHTLY cheaper stores like Walmart, PetCo or PetsMart, because even though some of the prices might be a little cheaper at those other stores, you can't buy the amazing service, love for animals or the competent recommendations that you get from Victoria and Halley!

I first started going to Lazy Creek when my husband and I started dating over 14yrs ago and he lived just a couple miles away, but after we moved to Gilbert (actually closer to Lexington), I started getting our pet supplies from stores in Lexington on my way home from work. It wasn't until I was running errands in Batesburg and stopped back in Lazy Creek that I met the wonderful ladies who have been keeping this hometown store running the last few years. After seeing their love for animals and genuine kindness towards their customers, I started making biweekly trips to Batesburg again JUST to buy supplies from these wonderful people!

The products are great quality too. When a distributor was no longer going to carry the Colorado Hemp Honey that I give my elderly dachshund for his arthritis pains each night, Victoria found one so that they could continue to provide such a great product for us (their loyal customers)! I know it would've been MUCH easy for her to just stop carrying it, but she knew that I really needed it for my 18yr old pup. I can't thank her and Halley enough for the years of blood, sweat and tears they've put into providing the BEST for those of us who live in this rural area. Purchased a female leopard gecko a couple of months ago. Beautiful coloring and a pleasant cuddle bug personality. Panda is a really good eater too! The selection of feeder insects are really good too. Nice sized super worms, meal worms, dubia roaches and the best horn worms I have seen. Other shops do not have the same variety and are more expensive.

This past week I returned to the shop and discovered that Pandas sister wasn't doing so well being alone. She dropped weight and was just laying around. They put her in another tank with another gecko but she was not getting better.

This was not the stores fault they were doing their best to get her to eat and not be alone. If anything I should have known better than separate a bonded pair. I bought her and reunited her with Panda. Immediately the girls greated each other and snuggled together.

I don't understand why more people don't shop here. They got every kind of pet food you can think of and then some. And, they give samples. You think it's easier to shop Wally world cause your already there, these people are pretty easy too, you park right at the front door, they're located on the main street through Batesburg, and there is always someone to help you....
