I would like to share the wonderful experience that I had with Tidwell Jewelers. I have heard Mr. Tidwell advertise all over 93.1 The Lake. Recently the sterling silver wine pitcher (flagon) for the church communion set needed to be fixed. The top came off and it was time to make it appear more religious instead of like a tankard. After doing research on what Tidwell could do, I called and spoke to a customer service representative at the Johnston location. She told me that the Batesburg-Leesville location was closer to me and I could take it there and they would be able to take care of the needs for me. I walked in on a Saturday morning and low and behold Mr. Tidwell was the one who came and assisted me. I looked at him and said I know exactly who you are. After showing Mr. Tidwell some pictures of ideas for the new top on the flagon, we agreed on what it should look like and the price. A few weeks later I get a call that it is ready. I go and pick it up and WOW. It was amazing. Looks better than I imaged and now the flagon looks like it belongs with the set. I am so thankful for the expertise of Mr. Tidwell and his staff who worked so hard to do the fine work they did. I am one very happy customer and I know they not only can do jewelry, but also sterling holloware...
Read moreI had two rings that i needed to have sized up 3 sizes each, prongs repaired and a pair of earrings I needed repaired. I live in Lexington, SC so I called 4 local jewelers and was quoted $50 to $60 per size. At that cost I would have paid $300-360 just to get the rings sized up. I decided to give Tidwell Jewelers a call. I spoke with a very nice lady(idon’t Recall her name). I asked her what would they charge to go up a size on a ring. (I always shop around). She told me that I would need to bring the jewelry in for a quote. She was the first person to not give me a commercial fee! So a couple weeks later I did just that. I was charged $176 to have everything done. ( both rings sized up 3 sizes, prongs repaired and both leaver style earrings replaced. And they gave me back the scrap gold they replaced on the earrings) I was blown away. I would have paid that for one ring sizing at all the other stores I called. I picked up my jewelry today!!!! They did such an amazing job!! Jayde was very nice and super knowledgeable. They also have gorgeous jewelry. They sale stunning new and estate peices. I love that this jeweler is passionate about what he does for a living and does it at a very fair fee. I...
Read moreI have used Tidwell Jewelers for many years and have always been pleased until recently. I took my daughter's diamond in for new prongs in the spring. A few weeks ago, she noticed one prong looked bent and the diamond was shifted upwards. I took it back and Mr. Danny Tidwell was in the Leesville store. He accused her of falling or abuse from the gym, both of which are ridiculous. He even let me look at it through his lens. I thought it looked like it had been added on to and not smoothed out. It looked like a solder line to me. She seldom wears her diamond (silicon at hospital)! They "fixed" that wonky prong free of charge, but today, while putting on a jacket, it snagged in the sleeve and the prong broke right off. I think it was poor workmanship on purpose. My daughter said they would never touch her ring again!! Sad, because Henry designed and remounted the family diamond in a beautiful setting 17 years ago and we have always had good service! Mr. Tidwell was also there when I picked it up and didn't even speak. I should have insisted to look at it "up close"...
