we have eaten here a few times now, and tried the majority of the menu. you really can't go wrong here in my opinion. we will continue to be regulars here.
that being said, I am not from the south or New York, so my standard for pizza is different than both. I have, however, eaten pizza in NYC and many other places around the world.
I would recommend asking for extra shrimp on the Shrimp Alfredo. 1-2 shrimp per slice on an XL pizza is a bit too NYC for my liking.
The Rajin' Cajin' is fantastic.
I would ask for marinara or ranch or maybe white sauce for the Philly, it can be quite dry.
The calzone is more like a stuffed half pizza, not like any other calzone I've had, thick with cheese like ricotta and other fillings, but still quite good.
The mega pepperoni lives up to it's name.
The Godfather is good, but might want to avoid it if you have a sensitivity to preservatives.
The staff have been great whenever we've been here.
Better than any pizza in the area by far (maybe even the best restaurant that I've been to for quite...
Read moreThis has to be the BEST pizzeria in the area! My husband and I were visiting family in Johnston and ventured to Batesburg looking for pizza! It was truly divine intervention that lead us here to Customz Pizza. It smelled like a true pizzeria as soon as we walked in, and we knew immediately we were in the right place! I cannot say enough about the staff. These are some of the most kind-hearted and genuine people I've ever met, and it showed in the smiles, their conversation, and their attentiveness! The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and I would strongly recommend! Not only will I be telling all my friends and family, but they can rest assured they will see us again when we are back in town! What a wonderful world this would be if more businesses were as devoted to providing a great product with such care and pride as...
Read moreGood family people, hard day-job working dude who built and runs his pizza shop on Saturday nights. Good and fresh hand tossed pizza. They employee local teenagers and staff them even through the pandemic.
He is having trouble getting enough locally grown, organic supplies due to covid effects that are still going on and refuses to use GMO stuff. The owner is talking about opening more if supply chain picks up and if staffing is consistent.
I support this business. Home grown. Don't be in a hurry when coming here, call ahead if you are in a hurry and order take out. Glad to see him repurpose an old abandoned service station. If they ever has the chance to expand his parking and get more seating for busy nights, they will be a force to be reckoned with, since most things in this town close way to early when the weekend night is...
