Painting and Pinot — Local services in Baton Rouge

Painting and Pinot is a locally-owned sip-and-paint party place. In a departure from the franchises I've painted at before, ice water and a place for the party's food is provided 30 minutes before the painting fun begins. Our host was personable and capable, offering helpful advice so everyone's painting was worth hanging, but without making anyone feel talentless. The paintings are original to the studio, so you won't see them in every friend's house, and we received photos of our party AND a hand-written thank you note a few days after the event. We had a private event for my grandmother's birthday and were told to arrive at 9:30. We got there a little before 9:30 and no one showed until 10:20! We tried calling several times and no one answered until she was pulling up. No apologies, no explanation, just opened the place up like nothing happened. The class was lead by an owner and NOT an artist. There was very little instruction and we still had to pay full price. I was blown away by how accommodating they were when we were planning our daughter's birthday and had to change several times due to holidays and covid! They found me the time and date that were available, and they were so understanding! The staff took great care for big group of 10 year olds, and they made sure we had a great time!
