I usually don’t post reviews but there comes a point where bragging to friends and buying people gift cards isn’t enough for me. This place deserves public recognition! If you’re looking for a place, but are hesitant.. STOP looking and go! This nail spa is EVERYTHING! I used to like to try different places but when I got my nails done here, I had to go back!
Date of visit: July 10th
This was my third time visiting Venetian Nail Spa at Perkins Rowe, and unfortunately, it will be my last. I never expected I would have to return a fourth time due to ongoing issues with broken nails, but that’s exactly what happened.
I paid extra for a nail repair, which turned out to be nothing more than dipping the cracked nail into powder. When the problem persisted, I returned again expecting a proper fix—only to receive an additional layer of polish over the damaged nail. This temporary solution did not address the actual issue, and unsurprisingly, the nails broke again.
At that point, 9 days had passed since my initial visit, and I was charged yet again for a full reapplication: polish removal, repainting, and yet another powder dip repair. One nail completely broke off, which led to yet another visit and a frustrating conversation with the technician. I specifically showed him the crack on my thumb nail, and instead of addressing it, he simply applied another coat of polish on top.
The most concerning part was the method used to repair the broken nail. Instead of properly soaking off the base and polish, the technician yanked off the product by inserting a plastic tip underneath it—this can seriously damage the natural nail plate. This is not how professional nail removal or repairs should be done.
To make matters worse, just two days after that appointment, the nails began cracking again. The technique used was "Polish Gel," which is supposed to provide strength and durability, yet I experienced repeated breakage and very poor longevity.
This experience has left me extremely disappointed. The standards and quality of service at this salon are far below expectations, especially given the additional charges for repairs that were ineffective and improperly done. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for long-lasting or professionally handled...
Read moreI LOVE Anna and have been going to her for a while. I went to her on Saturday and she did great however the next day the dip on one of my nails chipped (not my actual nail, just the dip) and the other one I stubbed and that whole nail broke - my real nail since I did not have tips on any of my nails (I would usually say that it’s my fault that second nail chipped but my nails do not break easily, in fact, they’re very strong and hard to trim which she mentions and we laugh about every time I come in, but this time they were shaven much more thin than usual and bent very easily). Again, I’ve been a regular customer and things happen so it was fine.
My issue is not with Anna because she really is great. I came in and the woman fixing my 2 nails, Yumi, was incredibly rude and off putting. I’m not sure if she thought I purposely broke my nails and wanted to drive 40 minutes back to the nail salon to get them fixed 2 days later or if I was trying to get one over on them or what but her attitude was very unpleasant. I was then charged $5 for the nail I stubbed (I get it, I stubbed the nail, but honestly for the rudeness of Yumi who I’m guessing was rude bc she thought I was getting a “free” service and the fact my nail was shaven extremely thin which in my opinion caused that nail to bend, that $5 pissed me off).
The guy at the front desk was nice but honestly at that point charging the $5 was unnecessary. I’m a regular who tips $10+ every time I come in. I’ve actually gotten a lot of people to go to this salon and had just recommended Anna to 2 of my friends but after that charge and Yumi I honestly don’t know if I want to come back. Not bc Anna isn’t great, but bc when something goes wrong the people fixing your nails are...
