Dirty Dogs Car Wash was a disappointment. After the second time going for a car wash I noticed the dirt on my wheels looked like it just got swirled around and not removed. Also, on closer inspection of the car's paint later that day I noticed very small scratches, except for one long weird mark along the top of the car and another set of, what appear to be very, very, small paint chips on the right door. I never noticed these marks before so it is possible these last marks mentioned aren't from the car wash, but I don't rule it out as a possible explanation. Also, I have a question to ask. Is it possible the harsh scrubbing of the car before actually entering the car wash is responsible for the scratches? How often is that bucket of water changed out as it makes sense the bucket of sudsy water will contain particles that can damage your car's paint. And even a very soft brush with suds and particles can cause damage, especially if the person doing the scrubbing is applying unnecessary force on the surface of your car. I bought a package of 5 washes and will be returning soon to attempt to get a refund or a partial refund as I won't be running my vehicle through their facility. This will be updated with a response from me regarding Dirty Dogs Car Wash.
UPDATE on Dirty Dogs Car Wash: I went back to this Dirty Dogs in Port Richey and spoke with the mid day shift manager who was a young guy with purple tinted sunglasses and brown hair. Although not outright rude, he wasn't accommodating at all. I showed him some barely noticeable scratches on my paint and also told him my wheels were left with a bunch of dirt swirled around. He said "the car wash is only 2 weeks old and hasn't been calibrated to clean the wheels of small cars, medium cars, and trucks". I asked the female attendant who is one of the managers about this the second time I ran my car through their car wash. She informed me the car wash is not designed to clean the wheels of my car or something along those lines. So which is it? Not designed to clean wheels or not calibrated correctly. Shouldn't your facility be calibrated before running cars and trucks through? The mid shift manager the young guy also flat out lied to me and informed me the managers told him I had complained several times before which was a bunch of B.S. The only time I complained was to the female manager previously about my wheels. Then, when I said that's a effin lie, he said if I was going to get aggressive he would have to call the police. Are you serious? Obviously this person has zero skill in dealing with customers and definitely when issues arise. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right". Today's motto seems to be "the business is always right and the customer is always wrong". I asked for a partial refund of my 29 dollars for 5 car washes. He refused and kept saying you cancelled. I cancelled the recurring charge but was trying to get a refund because I had only used 2 washes. It was a negative experience and I won't be back. Also, a friends boyfriend said their car wash left water spots on his black paint. No surprises there and the car wash is short in duration, doesn't seem enough time to do everything it's suppose to do. I got your response in my email. Give me your phone number and I'll call you to discuss this. Don't expect me to be going around and around...
Read moreThis Facility just opened a few days ago and I was excited to be one of the first people to use it. Boy what a waste of money! When I got home I noticed The vehicle had front end and back end dirty long streaks and numerous water spots everywhere (Please see pictures). I went back to the Port Richey location thinking that since the corporate website bragged about their customer service, that it would be easily be taken care of. Being disabled (it’s hard for me to walk), I returned less then 24 hours with my paid receipt and asked the attendant to please examine the vehicle for the issues at hand. The very polite woman said that she had to talk to her manager after the examination. When she came back she said that the manager said that “nobody else was complaining” and they would have given a second car wash for free if I came back the same day. First off I had suggested that since this is a new machine perhaps the drying cycle needed to be adjusted longer. Secondly no where on the receipt or anywhere around the facility does it tell the customer that they have to come back the same day if not satisfied. Thirdly I don’t appreciate basically being called a liar when the manager said that nobody else is complaining. I almost didn’t come back thinking that I just wouldn’t ever go back. But after visiting Dirty Dog’s website I thought they would appreciate the feedback to fine tune their facility. Guess I was wrong. Dirty Dog I will help you with these words of wisdom that could make you a successful business… coming from a successful owner of a multi-million dollar business. 35 years ago I worked for a company called Walmart. Every Friday we would a have company wide meeting. At the end of the meeting all the managers would hand clap and yell, “ Who’s Number One? “and the answer may surprise you. The answer is “The Customer !!!” Not Walmart Not Dirty Dog. Without the customer you don’t get a paycheck or a profitable business. Calling your customer liars and keeping their hard earned money for a poorly done job is a recipe for going out of business. I will not be coming back to your car wash and buying any of your membership offerings.
UPDATE 5/18/24: I Was encouraged that the Company posted an answer to my review and asked me to contact them so we could discuss a possible resolution to my complaint. Disappointedly after months of checking my spam filters, junk files, and regular email absolutely Zero response by management. Double and tripled checked the contact links for the company to give them a fair chance to honor their "Reach...
