The store was so dirty and damaged yarn skeins were out, and several dozen displays were just tossed. I refused to pick through to find what I needed after finding a used bandaid in one cup for the crochet hooks. Non-damages skeins were clearly up above in colors I needed. I asked an employee for help getting them when she was done unloading a box, mind you said box had three things left inside, waited 10 minutes for her to show up, never did. Went to checkout and the employee didn't want to touch my phone for my coupons. I'm disabled and legally blind with disfigured hands that make counting change hard, and I tend to keep them in some gloves and gauge the person's reaction to the eyes before showing my hands and removing gloves, and she wouldn't help me count my money and when I went to my next store was short money since she took advantage of me not being able to do it myself and helped herself to another 75 cents. I brought just enough for the day to get both items with only $1 of wiggle room so I didn't overspend. I thankfully was left with only a quarter of wiggle room so I could make my purchase at the next store. I did have money in my account on my business card if this michaels had the six hooks I needed more of and and 5 other skeins I needed which were all available above, but due to the dirty store and employees never showing up they lost another $60 in a sale. I plan to check today for an item I need, but if it's dirty still, I'm walking right back out and...
Read moreI came to do a return without a receipt, but the item was purchased using my rewards card so it was in the system. The cashier was having a hard time doing the simple task so she called the manager over, the manager was the rudest person I have ever met working- she did not even go to the computer and said I can’t do anything if you don’t have a receipt. I’m frustrated at this point and go to the side to make a phone call as a ditch effort to try and locate the receipt(mind you I purchased 2 drawers that were $150). The manager comes up to me not even a minute later and is like ‘what are you doing to do? Can you leave now?’ I am was literally standing in the corner talking on the phone. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name but she was a middle aged African American women.
I left without saying a word and drove to the Michael’s in Aurora. The same thing happened, the cashier couldn’t figure out what to do so she calls the manager over, but unlike last time the manger here was extremely helpful and friendly and was able to find the receipt within minutes.
I normally don’t write reviews but the service I got at this Michael’s was horrible. If you don’t like your job then quit, don’t go around ruining other people’s mood just because you can’t keep your attitude in check.
Rest be assured I will not be going...
Read moreHello everyone... My experience at Michaels was good until I got in line to pay for my items I had cash money and I was the only one in line at that time, there was one person being waited on at the cash register, there was some kind of issue going on with that person so because of this I waited and waited and waited up to about 20 to 25 minutes I was asked by two people that work there are you paying with cash or card I said cash they said oh okay and continue to walk away no one went to the other cash register to open it so I could paid for my items and leave, instead they walked away and I had to wait even longer I started to walk out and go somewhere else to pick up the items I had instead I truly thought that was bad business A store manager should have been called and someone should have opened another register and continue with the customers that were waiting, by that time other customers were in line in addition to me, of course they had not been in line as long as I have been. So because of that I will not be returning to that...
