I rarely have bad comments about a location, but I HAVE to let others know to be careful.
I visited this location and an older gentleman helped me get a basic smartphone that I wanted as a backup. So far, so good.
I got it home and the phone was great but I decided I would apply for a free government phone. I was well within my warranty time so I found someone to take me to return the phone. That's when the disaster started.
I was in line to return the phone when the salesman noticed me. He inconsiderately asked in front of all the customers why I was returning the phone. I was too embarrassed to speak of the free phone in front of othets.
When it was my turn, he took care of me kind of resentfuly. I left unhappy because of his attitude but at that point, I would not have given the bad rating.
A month later, I was getting bills from Verizon. I called and was advised to give it some time for the paperwork to catch up.
After three months, my bills were getting rude because they were unpaid. I called the toll free number again and was told that I needed to go back to the store as they must not have done the return completely.
I'm not looking for sympathy, just stating a relevant fact here. I am in a wheelchair, without a car of my own. Anytime I need to go somewhere, I have to pay someone to take me, so every trip costs me a minimum of $10.00.
I'm usually recognized because of the chair. My salesman, thankfully was not there but I was helped politely by a younger man. I explained my problem and he immediately got me a copy of my return paperwork.
I came home and before I could send it off, an overly helpful caregiver cleaned up my pile of papers. I searched high and low for it to send it to corporate but never found it. Since I never saw a bill again, or got any calls, I assumed the guy at the store fixed the problem.
Until yesterday... I received a collection notice. Now I have to pay someone to take me to the store again. This was costing me what is to me a sizeable amount of money. I also am praying that I will be able to get another copy of my paperwork.
I finally have to say that this is partly an issue with corporate. However, what keeps coming to my mind is the resentful salesman that was without a commission when I returned the phone. Clearly something was not done properly or I would not have had this mess to clean up.
Just be careful if you have to return anything to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI signed up for service on my iPad. The employee did not explain what I was signing up for in the slightest. At other companies I had been able to get cellular data for my iPad and pay month to month, no contract. That meant I pay a fee for the month and if I donāt renew and pay again I donāt get service. I assumed this would be the same with Verizon (since I was not told any different). Instead I was signed up for a service agreement that I had to call in to the office to cancel.
When I no longer needed the cellular service, I stopped paying the bill and my service was cut off. Again I was not made aware I was in a contract and I had to call to cancel. For the next little bit I was racking up monthly bills that I had no idea about. Since my service was cut off I assumed they would stop billing me, that was not the case. I now have to pay for service I never received and when I called to resolve the issue and not have to pay for the shut off service they said it was my fault for not calling in sooner to cancel.
Again, I had NO idea that I had to call in! The representative who signed me up did not explain any of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn December of 2017 I went to this store to get a replacement for my phone that was not working. I purchased a new Droid. Recently I found out I should not have had to pay for a new phone in the first place. I had insurance. I was conned by Mark.
Apparently getting a plastic case that fits that phone is a real issue. I had to wait and be lied to by an employee named Mark. He was beyond obnoxious. I had to get one at another Verizon store because Mark kept lying about them being out of stock. It took several MONTHS!
To top it all off, this brand new phone only lasted a few months. The battery would not hold a charge. Verizon sent me a replacement, a refurbished old Droid, which is outrageous. Of course this phone is also having issues with battery life. I have been a Verizon customer for 20 years, they treat their customers like garbage. I will definitely be in touch...
