I purchased a glass pipe from this location on a Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon if broke in half in my hand. I had not damaged the piece or miss used it in any way, the fact it broke was due not at all to my use. I called this shop to make sure I wasn't wasting my time by bringing it in for a replacement. The individual who answered the phone was blaring music and when I began to explain to him my problem he became very rude with me. He interrupted me because he couldn't hear over the music, I suggested he turn it down to which he replied very snarky and unprofessionally that he was doing so. When I calmly told him I didn't appreciate the response he said that I needed to chill out and it's not his fault there's an issue with the piece they sold me. I wasn't calling to complain to them, I wasn't upset because I know this sort of thing happens from time to time and it's not like they personally made the glass. The whole exchange came off outrageously unprofessional. People who are ultra defensive for no reason should not work customer service. If you don't like talking to customers and can't be bothered to do so without exaggerated sighs and an irritated tone then don't do it. I would think customer service would be a priority since they don't make the glass themselves, but clearly not. I’ve lived in the Valley about 30 years and this is one of my favorite local stores! They have a fantastic selection, and even though I am in there frequently, they are always getting in new things. I have needed guidance on some new items and they are extremely knowledgeable. In addition to all of your smoke shop needs, kratom, and accessories, If you need a gift idea, they have a rotating, really unique selection of items. The best thing about this place is the owners and staff. They are all always friendly and helpful. The owners are a local family I have known to give back to the community, and I know every one of their awesome staff of hard working locals. I’m not really sure if the people that gave this store anything less than 5 stars was talking about the right location. Because this store is literally like a second home for me and the owner and his staff treat me like I’m family. I have never experienced better costumer service any where else in my life. And it’s very rare for me to praise anything or gas anyone up at all. But at Vails Exhale the entire staff always treats me with the utmost respect and they all go way above and beyond the call of duty to always make sure I’m good. I have even become close with staff and ownership to where I have even gained some amazing friends as well.
