Aldi is a great place to shop. There's always intriguing new things, and it's come a long way since I was a kid. They're always offering some type of item I've not seen elsewhere. Or a product, and a lot of it is pretty interesting. And it is actually the only place you'll find several of the foods that not only do other stores not have the pomp to carry, but it's priced in a way that makes you grab it up, guilt free, and try something new. It may not be the world's largest grocery store, but they carry a pretty wide selection that is ever-changing. One of my personal favorites is the variety of breads and cheeses they carry. Every time you go in there you may find something new and different. There is actually an aisle for those things. They've come a very long way since I was a child. Back then, you could actually even buy a tube TV at Aldi, shoved in next to cabbages. I grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin, I was born in '83. Aldi then was very chaotic, hard to navigate, but the products were priced right for our very poor family. My family survived because of Aldi. So please do not be offended by my mentioning your chaotic roots. I have always Been in your corner. The food has changed drastically, and the store is clean and efficient. Even though the products have changed, not only in variety and style, but in quality, the price is still fair beyond compare. The closest I can come to a complaint; Is sometimes waiting in line. But even then it does not take very long. EVER, before staff is opening another register, and helping people with a kind word and smile. So if you want to get ready for game day, a nice party, or just an evening with an easy to make meal, this is the store to go to. And while you're there, you may find a nifty, and affordable cat tree. Or a kettle bell set. Maybe even a beautiful potted plant. Or a nice package of Columbian espresso, and a bottle of wine. You never know what you'll find, and that is part of the joy of coming back to thestore, often. It's amazing staff is fast and efficient. And as far as cleanliness is concerned; believe me, that store is sparkling clean. My one wish? Is Aldi was even larger, and could carry more of the things that they do. There's always a new and interesting food product there. There are limited time products there. To me, it's just a fun place to shop. And ever since I was a child, I've loved the feeling of pushing that quarter into the cart lock. Then pulling the chain out. There's something cathartic about putting the chain back in and pulling your quarter out, I don't know, maybe I'm way too easily amused. But it's one of the joys I find shopping there. It also shows a window into the kindness of others, when you find a cart that's unlocked with its quarter still in it, or someone walking out gives you their cart, quarter still in it of course. It may seem like such a small act, but isn't it those small moments like that? When someone shows even just that small kindness. Although, confessing, my cheeks go red as I say that yes, I have collected a few quarters from carts left unlocked. To atone for my mischievous behavior, I always make sure to give someone a cart the next time around. Or give the spare bags that I purchased to someone who needs them. And that is another thing, Aldi was ahead of its time. Making you really consider how many bags you needed. Or to bring your own. Regardless of the reasoning, it's still A very intelligent move, in reducing the amount of plastic that's used. It's a business that was interesting when I was a child, but it's now turned into something far greater than that. So I thank you guys, and hope great thanks for the future of...
Read moreI dont usually leave negative reviews but today takes the cake. I was in there for a couple things for dinner and when I went up to the cashier because I was paying with cash, he was so short with me and extremely rude. The older man behind me came up with a huge grocery cart for what looked like for a party. As I was grabbing the change from the cashier. The older gentleman asked how the cashier was gonna ring it all up. He was short and rude with him as well. Thr gentleman was super nice and didnt say much about the cashiers attitude but if I had the option as to keep him as my employee, I would say no. He doesnt deserve a job where people come to shop and for him to be so rude. Do Better People. We Are All Human Beings With...
