Started out OK... Bought a sofa and 2 recliners WITH CASH IN FULL.. A new couch was already in the stores back room for us to take home the same day. We had to wait for our 2 recliners until the following Wed. No big deal. Went to pu the 2 recliners on Wed they stated both of my chairs are ready. Helped load them in the back of our truck. Get home with them- WRONG COLOR CHAIRS. Call them tell them they tell us or yes 2 other ones are still here.. Load the wrong chairs back up head back to slumberland to get there and they now say oh only 1 chair is here!!! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? Do they not check there order/items coming in from warehouse to make sure in case they don't have all the items so they can call the customers b4 hand!! Then as my husband is talking to our salesman Ryan regarding a refund of something for the inconvenience, Ryan says, well nothing we can do it happens we are human! WE Offer to just bring the whole set back for the poor/RUDE customer service from Ryan and all he says is well then bring it back! As we are walking to our vehicle Ryan makes a rude comment under his breath and walks away.. Ryan calls to let us know chair won't be in until beginning of April now, we would be fine if hey we can get the chair for you on our own in a few days... not on our next 4wk shipment! My husband says isn't there something you can do or compensate a little for the inconvenience we had to go thru so far. Ryan states nope nothing just maybe free shipping on the recliner when it comes! As we were told there was free shipping in the first place! REALLY.. We said thats not fair. Told Ryan we want to talk to supervisor. Ryan said there is nothing they will do. But seeing you won't shut up about this humane mistake I'll talk to my supervisor tomorrow and call you back because she won't listen to what you have to say so I have to explain to her! WOW. I have honestly never seen customer service like this before and have no idea how someone has a job like that or how a business keeps customers with an attitude towards customers when there is an issue! 1st time shopping at Slumberland and wi be the last as the customer service from 1 Employee RYAN we received was horrible and VERY unprofessional.... Read moreBeware of a few issues we had. My daughter special ordered a couch and chaise which were to be attached. Slumberland ordered it wrong and after waiting 11 months to get it found out the two pieces didn't connect. So, they offer to order another one (which no way would she take a chance on waiting another 11 months) and if she chose that route, she could "borrow" the wrong couch but have to return it in excellent condition once the new one came in. Who would be able to return a couch after 11 months in excellent condition unless you don't use it? Crazy. My daughter opted to completely return everything for a full refund because it was their fault they ordered the wrong pieces. (Keep in mind it was ordered in November 2020 and was delivered in October 2020. Once they received it in their warehouse, they couldn't get her on the delivery schedule for another 2 weeks.) Once she said she was returning it, they picked it up the next business day. Funny how they could do that so quickly! Well now it has been over 3 weeks and NO refund yet. My daughter called Slumberland in Beaver Dam and they had no idea that it was returned and to issue a refund. PLEASE, before shopping local, check out all of your options. My daughter has a new pit couch that was delivered within 2 weeks from a bigger store. We are well aware of all the shortages of everything, but funny how another store was able to deliver a product in record time! Hope she gets her refund much faster...
Read moreI really am impressed with the spirit of this company. This is why; Buy the warranty, don't use it, it becomes a credit on a future purchase. If you use it you don't get the credit, but you get your stuff fixed. They come to this area anyway. No extra charge to drop it off for me. Generous discounts. But they won't be taken advantage of either. Labor day discount, and another discount, but the next day o talked to them, I'd received a 100.00 coupon. I had to ask, but did agreed, I was already getting a good deal. So i let the coupon slide.
I don't intend to take advantage of a good company. Some others that sell carp intended to break are free game. But this place Slumberland offers good stuff, good protections, and credit if not used. I'm happy they are here, and would recommend them to you, or my friends and family.
I got the Twin bed house in grey. Assembled in 1 1/2 hours. Instructions were right, holes and pieces were sturdy, NOTshoddy craftsmanship i.e. warped, cracked, knot holes. Only thing is the roof pieces didn't space correctly, so I pulled the 2 dowels out of piece 17, and 18, and screwed them in correctly. Thumbs up. Thanks Bob, Andrew, and Beaver Dam store .
