Ive lived at Windsor place for about one year. Everything was okay at first, it's a well kept on lanscaping and good decent neighbors, now management is a tool to work with to say the least. When I woke up one morning and noticed wet dry wall and water leaking down to my internet motem I was quite surprised. I contacted maintenance ( - I put a order in through the portal that Windsor offers - ) and they never fixed it, this led to months of leaking water when it rained, the window would be drenched in water as well as my curtains!! After multiple attempts to reach maintenance and even contacting the property manager - Stacy Mills via email - they never once returned any of my emails or maintenance requests. The water damage caused issues and creases and cracks/ soft spot on the bedroom wall.
Spider issues I lived on the first floor - partially underground -and let me tell you in the summer time and even early fall the spiders were a disaster the spiders would be as big as a dollar coin pouring in through little cracks in apartment, I even would wake up to little critters - wolf spiders - in my bed sheets. I remember several times they'd even be in the bathroom and drains and walls, maintenance would spray chemicals to fix the problem seldomly but to no avail maintenance would be in a rush and half - arseing spraying! ( Sorry for language)
Inconveniences Now if you live in a building with children - or generally people who are loud- be ready to lose sleep the walls are like cardboard especially the ceiling. I would hear kids cry and stomp and yell all through the night and even daytime sometimes. One time maintenance changed the locks on a security door everyone needs to go through to reach there home. Maintenance put a warning note on everyone's door while we were at work through the daytime. Well when everyone came home later that evening, to my surprise people were all outside gathered outside the complex, well maintenance had put a lock on the door - a new one - nobody had the new key, people were outside needing medicine there children were fussing etc, when we called maintenance nobody get a hold of them! Thankfully somebody had to unfortunately break the lock. When we got inside all the neighbors noticed the new key taped to the door. Well the following day after work the new keys for the lock didn't work and it was dajavu all over..... :/ The property manager is quick to give out fines - and hefty fines - and there always watching so don't dare leave a piece of trash or put a flower on the patio or even curtains or you will be fined. If rent is late just once expect them to threaten to evict with a notice within 3 days, they turn away to any hardships and expect the rent regardless, they give you 7-10 days the notice will say or else....
I would not recommend...
Read moreHi all, I lived at Windsor place for over 2 years and I honestly have to say, it is a beautiful building. The updated apartments are nice. However, with management, the levels vary. Windsor was under Towne properties for most of the 2 years we were there, and we went through maybe 4 different property managers (Tia, Melissa, Cameron, I remember at least 3). Besides the constant fire alarms going off and lack of pool, the only concern we had for about the first year and a half was that rent was 1600$ before the late fee that hit the morning of every 3rd day of the month. Wasn’t even given 72 whole hours to pay rent before tacking on fees. About November 2024, we noticed a couple of bugs here and there. From there it got worse and worse. Town Properties ignored us several times when we pleaded for help with the issue, after going through 2 cans of Raid and a mop and broom. Towne properties finally started treating around February or March but by then it was too late, it had gotten too bad. They did a walkthrough of our apartment and told us we actually had the cleanest apartment of them all and the problem was the neighbors. We ended up throwing away most of our furniture because we were nervous of what we would bring to a new home. KEO properties took over in April I believe and Patrick is very nice and communicative. He was very understanding about the situation and letting us leave due to our healthy and safety and those of our fur babies. They did remove all of the charges from April and I’m very grateful for that, I do believe they tried to make up for our issues. As long as management continues to be present and fixing issues, I think Windsor place is a wonderful home if you can afford it! All they...
Read moreI lived at these apartments for the past three years. I moved in when it was owned by another company but as soon as Towne Properties took over everything went severely downhill. If I had a problem I would call and call and call. Leave voicemail after voicemail. I would never get a response which meant I had to drive over to their other property since they removed the leasing office from Windsor Place. The head property manager made it seem like she cared but it was clear she didn’t. Was extremely condescending. Classic case of caring only about the money and not the livelihood of the people you are housing.
To start, my building had a huge roach problem. They didn’t seem to care much about that. They’d occasionally send out a roach guy to spray but he would only spray the kitchen floor and that’s it. I have scars on my legs from where roaches ate at me while I slept. I kept a very clean apartment because of the roaches and would still find them in the kitchen or crawling in bed with me.
My AC went out September 1st of 2022. At first they tried to tell me nothing was wrong but I insisted there was. It would freeze and leak water. Finally they had someone come out but told me they wouldn’t replace it till the spring. I was without air for a good 5 or 6 weeks of 85+ degree weather. Come about 6 or 7 months later it was like pulling teeth to get the to replace it still. I was without air for months and they didn’t care.
I was friends with someone in my building and he had the exact some experience that I did.
I could go on forever but me, personally, would never move into another property owned and managed by...
