It's rare I shop Meijer due to none conveniently located in terms of my house but, this location at 3822 Colonel Glenn Highway, Fairborn, Ohio is between my work and my wife's which is when I stop of necessary traveling to her. I doubt even those occasions will occur now due to a single employee who was there 11/9/2022 at 11:45pm when I checked out through self scan. As I'm sure many shoppers have done, I took a cart on my way in, from in the parking lot actually, because I wasn't exactly how much I was buying. In the end, I had maybe 5 items total and after checkout, 3 bags that I certainly didn't need the cart to take to my car. I saw another 2 carts which were left against the wall just outside the self checkout area and, not needing the one I had, pushed it into the other 2 and ultimately pushed all 3 carts together figuring it would make it easier for the cart person to corral all to their ultimate "home" and they also wouldn't have to go out in the cold for those 3 carts at least. Apparently the male employee at the self checkout had other thoughts and decided it appropriate to have a smart mouth in that moment stating, "That's not where those go." MY guess, it's not HIS job to "corral" the carts from outside so, why would he care if someone was trying to be kind to the individuals who do have that job. He instead chose to take the ONE cart I had left, leaving the other 2, and make a production out of immediately taking my one cart, I brought in from outside to begin with, to the final cart area about 20 yards from where I left it, inside. This is petty, childish, and pathetic for anyone to behave in such a ridiculous manner under ANY circumstances but, as an employee, even worse. I thought to call the store or email Corporate but, what does that do really? They listen, give lip service about something they won't and never intended to do so, here is this since Google Maps asked me to post my review. Now any curious customer or potential customers can read and choose whether these are the type of employees you want to keep employed by shopping and spending your money here. I won't go back. I hadn't been in a Meijer in years and that scenario certainly doesn't compel me to return. Hope this helps someone, maybe even that employee may see this and, with that know, someday, you will catch someone on a bad day or someone who just doesn't care anymore and they will be the one who takes care of your smart...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been getting delivery for a few years now since I am unable to shop very often in store. Very rarely do I even get a halfway decent shopper, let alone anyone good, and the idiotic placations and token amounts of store credit when I have unauthorized charges on a card that I am unable to afford but just have to eat are doing nothing to give me confidence in their delivery service. My order was even erased and substituted with double the charges of items I am completely unable to use and never received due to the shopper having a supposed "blood pressure issue" and having to go to the hospital without communicating ANYTHING to me. I have enough life experience to know that you call 911 for a medical emergency, not wipe out someone's order and commit fraud. You generally don't have the presence of mind to think that clearly when seriously ill. And I certainly don't appreciate being taken for stupid by the company Meijer outsources their delivery service to. I tried to reorder some of the items I needed, and again, more unauthorized charges as substitutions were made with zero communication. The stupid shopper tried to convince me I had ordered a roast instead of steaks because she didn't recognize the cut of the meat. I was also informed by the app my shopper was a guy with dreads, but a middle aged woman delivered my order. This happens constantly and I truly do not appreciate the lack of communication. And there is no way to complain about the delivery company. It just gets more store credit that I now have no confidence in using because it just means another messed up order. Also, I fail to see why ordering beef of any cut is an issue. Very rarely am I able to even get basic ground beef, let alone anything else. I'm told it is out of stock every single time. Does the store not carry beef anymore in their meat department? I have found out the hard way that trying to call customer service is about useless because rarely do you get anyone good that actually cares about customer satisfaction. I have been a due hard Meijer shopper since they came to the Miami Valley, but there's only so much I'm willing to take. And I think I have been more than generous in giving the benefit of the doubt. Especially since I have had to report the unauthorized activity as fraud to the bank and get my card replaced. I really don't want to switch to Kroger, but the circumstances have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I can give them zero and customer service, I would I have had two of the worst customer service interactions in my life. The first being when I had asked during self, checked out if I could exchange an ice cream because it was opened and obviously picked The dude working there said no and so I ended up avoiding my whole transaction because of that the second time I lost my wallet which has sentimental value since my brother gave it to me when I called and asked if it was found, they said no said it was found can I leave my number so that they could call me back the lady very rudely said no that that's not their policy to call back that I can leave my number but there's no guarantee anyone's gonna call me if it is found and that I would just have to call every day I don't understand what they're doing in the customer service desk that they cannot take a minute of their day to just call me if the wallet shows up it's a very distinct wallet, easily recognizable to call me . I went today to pick To ask if my wallet was found and it was and it was just sitting in customer service lost and found for three days like I don't understand how you can say that your customer base but yet when I lose my wallet shopping at your store And you won't take my number because you can't guarantee that anyone will call me if it's found is outrageous to me What are they doing at the service desk that they don't have a minute of their day to call customers in regards to lost items. And management was not any better during my first experience that I'm not surprised why their store associates act the way they act and get away it. It seems This particular store has lost their value in customers, and it's very apparent and the way that they treat their customers as if they hate even being there. I don't have any issues with their products But the fact is that the way I have been treated makes me never want to go there again, and I would not recommend solely based on their store, associates, negative behavior...
