We booked a king room well in advance of the arrival date, paid in advance, non refundable fee for 3 nights, entered room #225 and it was double. Moved us to king room #205 and it had not been cleaned in a long time, toilet was black inside, garbage in cans, bed sheets were not clean, dirty, moldy towels on floor, clear dried glue like clumps all over kitchen sink and counter, top and door of refrigerator, toilet, bathroom sink, etc. Asked for new room and was told no more are available but offered us a refund. We were in town for the big Air Force Marathon Race event so finding another hotel with a room for last minute walk-ins was not an option. I left for Expo and husband cleaned the room with supplies they gave him as no staff was available to clean it for us. He spent two hours scrubbing, including using a scrapper to try and get the glue stuff up. Full kitchen but no dishes, pots, silverware, cups, nothing; front desk had one pan only to loan us. We had to go to Wal-Mart and purchased basic items so we could cook. The carpeted floor was dirty and they did not have a vacuum to loan us so we had to live with that. No clean towels available till late that evening and could not get more during stay. The smell of marijuana was in the hallway of the 2nd floor continuously. The room a few down the hall from us played loud mariachi music all day that was so loud it could be heard on the entire second floor. Other guest had large, unleashed dog that we came across several times in hallways and lobby. The front deck was not manned 24 hours, one morning the place was still locked up at 9am. We have stayed in this hotel a few times in the past and didn't encounter any of the above issues. Not sure what happened but after this stay, I have to say that this would not be a good place to stay with a family, and don't stay here for a pleasure trip. If you're in town long term for work and don't need a clean, quiet room, don't need a supplied kitchen so you can cook meals in room, and your job doesn't pay for a nice place then stay here. The front desk staff was nice enough (except for one older guy) but nice didn't get us towels or a clean room. And as we checked out of our prepaid room, they hit us with a Linen Service Fee of $5.98. No notice of that in advance and we sure did not get linen service during the three day stay, except for one initial set of sheets that my husband had to put on the bed the first day. Looking back, I cannot believe we actually stayed at this hotel after arrival, but at the time we felt that we had no options. If you're reading this review, you still have other options so...
Read moreGreat location. Good customer service. If you needed anything, they did provide or would communicate a certain time period they would have it. Great accommodating. An immense of amount of respect for being kid friendly— especially those with disabilities.
Most of the workers, except for one in particular are nice. The one in particular does gossip or complains about their own issues. Always seems mad at the world, but we’re human, so I get you have those moments.
A few of the rooms definitely needs an update. It just depends on the room you had. Sometimes it was an outdated refrigerator or microwave. Worked, but could be updated. Is a definite ant problem. At first I thought they were coming from the floor, but they will come into the cabinets. Just need pest control that’s all. I did see a mice coming from outside to one of the hotel rooms as I was going to do my laundry. Also to be aware of bed bugs. Where? I’m not sure, but the reason why I know this is because when I was using their laundry room, I found a dead one on the bed linen that’s from the hotel.
The only reason why I gave it a three is because of payment reasons. I was booking weekly, but one week in particular, I paid for one day, and I told them that I would be there tomorrow to book another weekly. The day before I checked out, a gentleman was passing out a notice of unpaid balances. Which I was shocked because I always pay the amount they tell me. That night, I asked the gentleman if he could see where the fee came from, and he told me that it was because whoever booked me did for six days instead of seven—which I was supposed to pay a certain amount instead of what I was told.
When someone messes with my money, even if it was a mistake , I automatically lose trust in everyone, so that’s my reason for the...
Read moreStaff was very nice. Room was pretty big for the two of us. Room seemed clean however room didn't appear to have been really cleaned since last stay. The coffee pot had coffee in it. There were only 2 towels, no wash clothes. The pillows had head dents in them. The pillows were also paper thin, but we went to a nearby Walmart and bought 2 new ones to remedy that. Water hot. Fridge froze my bottled water but maybe because fridge was mostly empty. When we asked for towels we recieved a huge pile right from the dryer. The washclothes both had what appeared to be blood stains on them. Last night there the fire alarms went off at 5am and they had trouble with them from that point on for the rest of the morning. Not a lot of communication with guests about the situation. We actually stood outside in our pjs for a bit because we didn't know what was happening and had to go inside to ask front desk. Someone burnt toast? The hallway did smell like smoke but the room itself didn't and if not for the towels and fire alarm I would have given it a 4 star rating. Tiny tv. Hotel is down a quiet road which is nice and near...
