Taste of Jerusalem is a gem of a spot for Mediterranean cuisine lovers. I was immediately greeted by Sam, Team Member when I walked in the door who was very pleasant, friendly, and informative. In addition, I spoke with Mohammed, Co-owner and Triq, Business Partner who were also very friendly. By the way, they also have another location:
Taste of Jerusalem 9656 N Springboro Pike Miamisburg, OH 45342
The food is excellent, the portions are massive and the prices are reasonable. The Mixed Grill Kebab Platter was cooked perfectly and all of the meats were juicy, tender and very succulent- even the chicken. Honestly, each bite was a burst of flavor! My wife will tell you that I DO NOT eat hummus but I tried their hummus and it was absolutely amazing and their garlic sauce was delicious! Truthfully, the hummus actually blew me away and I will now be more inclined to eat hummus but I will be a "Hummus Snob" because of my great experience at Taste of Jerusalem!
I travel extensively for work as well serve (19) nineteen states from Maine to Georgia, Kentucky to Michigan, Ohio to New York and everything in between. Frankly, I patronize a lot of Mediterranean establishments but this was the first that I immensely enjoyed the hummus and garlic sauce! Even the yellow rice was seasoned, not dry, and was a meal in itself. All of the food in the Mixed Grill Platter was delicious and not one thing was salty or disappointing and presentation was phenomenal. I ordered for one person but I could have fed my wife as well... Maybe because I get greedy when it comes to Mediterranean food! Fact is, there are so many more things that I would like to try from the menu, so I will be returning the next time I am working in the Dayton, Ohio area. The pleasant and friendly staff, delicious food, warm atmosphere and excellent customer service make this spot a must-visit...I cannot wait to come back and try more...Yummy,...

I’ve eaten here before and found the staff at that time to be very kind and super helpful. This time, when I walked up to the counter to request my online order, there was a young lady standing by the register. I told her my name and that I was there to pick up an order. . She was downright rude to me and even gave me a mean look/disgusted look while she was bagging another order. Then, one of the gentlemen greeted me with a genuine warm smile, said I was just in time, and I think he tried to make up for the way the lady treated me. Then she Lu the food in a bag and held it out for me. No smile. Barely looked at me. Maybe the young lady was having a bad day, and I get that, we all do. But I did nothing to receive that type of response from her and at a restaurant, no matter how good the food is, if a customer feels mistreated, they may not come back.
I still gave them a 5 star review because the food and the other people deserve the 5 stars and it’s not fair to them because one of their workers had an attitude.
Follow up: The owner reached out to me to personally apologize and tell me that he would address the issue and make sure that it never happens again. I had planned on returning prior to his response because I already had great experiences and I wasn’t going to let this event change that. I appreciate everything they did and the kind service I was given by him when I was there, it turns out that it was the owner who was so kind and friendly to me while...
Read moreI won't give a perfect score since people will think it's a fake review. But let me say, I walked in almost at closing for the first time last night. I met the team and got recommendations on a combination plate, and boy was that on point. It had a rich flavorful garlic sauce, hummus that actually was prepared properly, roasted tomato and onions, "bickles" and a mountain of rice i couldn't finish (I'm 5'10 and 285# weight lifter, I can eat). The mixed grill came with three meats all grilled and seasoned in different ways and we're all well done. The lamb was not dry, but moist and the spice mix was perfect and not overpowering. The chicken was not dry or burned but soft richly flavored. The beef, was moist, tender, and juicy and the spices were mouth watering good. The cook also gave me a free small portion of baba ganouj (roasted pureed eggplant with spices) which I love, and it was one of the best ive tried and I've had middle eastern food in like 10 states at this point. Prices were normal in my opinion, and for $23+ tax/tip that plate I had could easily feed 2 normal people a healthy portion with one of their other side options which would make it come out to about $30-35 total, so like $15 a person. Very reasonable. So overall a great restaurant, great family team, will definitely be going...
