This has been the bright spot of our journey so far and I loved them SO much. Truly. A gem. #tiktokgo #fyp #hotel #ohio #trubyhilton

Not only did this hotel flat out lie to me twice and give away my pre paid room and extort me to pay again at a higher rate, it’s poorly maintained and dirty. I had a two night reservation that I had prepaid a month in advance for Hilton Honors. Due to a suicide in my family I was unable to check in the first night. Realizing this could be an issue I called the hotel and informed them at 10:18am the day of my original arrival. The front desk was helpful and could not offer any refund (which I was fine with) but said they would check me in to ensure my room would be available when I arrived for the second night. When I arrived the front desk informed me the employee I spoke with had not done as they said and my room had been cancelled and I would have to pay again at a higher rate to stay the night. It was getting late and we were tired so had no choice. Felt like extortion. They (Rissa and the manager Bridget) told me they would discount the rate so I would pay the same per night price I originally paid. They did not. I got charged $25 more. They told me Hilton would refund me original reservation less a $150 no show fee. Hilton would not - until I spent 25 minutes on the phone with them and threatened charge backs from my credit card. Finally we get to our room and the floor has not been swept. There’s a patio right below the window with people hanging out and talking until 10:45pm. And then the soap dispensers oh my - the 4 pictures are all different dispensers in the bathroom. Not to mention the shower door is barely operable and the caulking moldy and peeling. Stay away from this poorly managed dump unless you’re desperate.

Tru is the place for you! The Good: The hotel was clean, quiet and comfy. The staff was friendly, fun and just fantastic. The amenities were wonderful; foosball, billiards and the pool can keep a family busy. The fitness room had enough to get a good workout in. There was plenty of parking on site. The free breakfast was what you would expect, had a good variety of items and had something for everyone. The bad: This location really didn’t have anything bad, I just have two suggestions for improvement. 1. The breakfast had an automated pancake maker that was relatively slow and would oftentimes stop working due to a clog in the flow of pancake batter. This could be an issue when the hotel has a lot of hungry patrons all trying to use it at once. You might want to invest in a second machine or go another route all together. 2. The body soap, hand soap and shampoo containers were mounted on the wall at a height that was hard to reach for kids under the age of 10. Additionally, the containers can be difficult to squeeze by little hands. This is an opportunity for improvement. Overall, we had a great visit and would stay there again. When in Beavercreek stop on by!

Ok so. New hotel. Brand spanking new. Never heard of it so decided to take a chance. It is across the street from Meijer, down the street from Wright State and minutes from I-675 and the Fairfield Mall. WPAFB is also very close.

Overall it was a nice stay and worth the price paid.

I'm a bit old school I guess because I was missing a few things. Like a coffee pot and microwave in the room. Also, I like more space. And symmetry!

It is very minimalist meets artsy hipster with a touch of retro. I didn't care to much for the decor myself. Plenty of USB ports in rooms. Tiny desk. Bench. No closet. No bathtub. Bed was very hard but I prefer a more firm bed, so I didn't mind. Only three pillows on a king. I think they were down because I couldn't stop sneezing. The cable was awful... Very limited. The guide started on channel 2 every time and it was also inaccurate.

Breakfast was very standard. I've had better and I've absolutely had worse. My go-to at hotels is usually the yogurt but omg... Their "vanilla" greek yogurt was absolutely disgusting... Nothing vanilla about it. The donut kinda made up for it but I really missed my yogurt. I was quite surprised I didn't see an alternative to cow's milk. I personally didn't care too much for the toppings but my kids would love the candy. There were no utensils for the toppings which was odd... I didn't like that.

The lobby reminded me of a college dorm lobby, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. We didn't get a chance to play pool. There was a balcony we didn't get to go on. The pool is not heated, rather the room was. The seating is a couch at one end of the pool. They had a decent workout area.

A few things I really didn't like... Vacuuming outside of my room and loud maintenance in the room beside mine. If I'm still in my room at 10am, I just might be asleep. I was. The water took FOREVER to heat up. And the soap. Ok, so I appreciate the concept but I feel like an individual wrapped bar of hand soap is more hygienic.

Staff was really friendly.

Would definitely stay again. I'd bring my own pillow, yogurt...

The hotel itself was great! Clean and everything was in proper working order! Solid 5/5 stars! The real part of this hotel that was just amazing was the staff!! If I could give the woman that was working the night we stayed (2/24/24) 100 stars I would. We showed up around check in at 3 and she was so pleasant and had a smile on her face the entire time. A little side note- this hotel was fully booked and it was mainly all youth wrestlers for a tournament the following day probably at least 100 kids there this night.. kids in the hotel love the pool- loved playing Foosball, loved playing games in the lobby and I know it was probably ALOT of hecticness with all the kiddos in the hotel but the worker (whom I'm pretty sure was working literally alone) never had one complaint. We had some room key issues, not sure what was going on but we had to reset our key probably 8 times and every time she apologized and she had nothing to apologize for because it was out of her hands.. she even came to our room to see if she could figure it out. It wasn't a problem to us and we didn't mind at all and she helped us every time the key acted up! She had a completely full house and she was checking people in the entire night & when she wasn't checking people in she was mopping, sweeping, changing trash... doing everything and never stopped smiling! We ended up staying 2 nights.. the second day we was there (2/25/24), there was a different employee who was super nice as well!! The day we checked out (2/26/24) the original woman was back and we thanked her for her hospitality and being so patient and pleasant for our stay!! This hotel hired the right employees for sure! Dayton isn't somewhere we typically vacation to or anything like that but if there is ever a time we will be staying in the area again I will with certainty choose this hotel again & again simply because the staff...

Terrible and shameful business practices! I stayed at the hotel for a weekend getaway mid-February with my 3 kids. On the final evening, we went down to the pool. Within 20 minutes we were back up in the room and I was frantically showering all 3 kids as they were suffering from chemical burns. I called the front desk to alert them of the situation. After a very long time they answered and put me on hold for quite a while longer. When they finally came back, the front desk person informed me that she was aware and dealing with the situation now. It was a terrible way to end a fantastic weekend. They told me the manager would speak with me personally in the morning. The next morning, I was told the manager would be in after check out. They took a photo copy of my receipt for Children's Benadryl and we left. I also spoke to two other families in the lobby upon checkout in the whose kids had also been burnt the previous night as well. The manager eventually called and said they would refund our stay and the cost of the Benadryl. She also stated the front desk clerk had quit over the chaos of that evening. (Hmm) Anyway, here we are at the end of March, 6 weeks later, and I just received an email saying that I need to contact another company "diffrnt company" to be exact (yes, that's how it was spelled) to receive my refund. The hotel has paid me for the cost of the Benadryl and 1/2 of our stay to date. I doubt I will ever see abother dime from them. What is happening at this makeshift, 4th rate hotel? I will never step foot in a Hilton hotel EVER again after this. They are a disorganized mess, burnt my kids with chemicals and are giving me a global runaround to get my apology refund. It's a joke. I will tell anyone that will listen my story. Terrible and shameful business practices....
