First, with the previous owner, Mr. Shakeri, it was no American Express, and now with this new owner, no debit nor credit card accepted for transactions under five dollars. Are we living in the 21st-century or the 20th century? In my 30 years that I lived in the United States, I have never been to a small business, and deal with a situation like this! I was in a rush because I was invited somewhere and had to get other items so I told him that it’s only three dollars and some change, and I don’t have cash on me, can I give it to you at a later day? and he was like I don’t know you and I don’t trust you. I had to spend half an hour to an hour by driving across the street to Safeway to purchase an item in order to get cash back. I went to the store to buy a little bit of yogurt for three dollars and some change. Good thing I was never in a habit of buying items from him or the previous owner for years, and will stay with that habit for many...

I don't know how this market stays in business with such grim and unfriendly staff. I politely explained that I had a middle Eastern cooking class and I needed a list specific items. I basically had no help... I had to find everything myself.

I felt that I was racially profiled and treated with a much lower level of consideration because I was a "gentile".

I do not need to patronize any business where new customers, of any race, are not made to...

This little market is close to my home and I have been coming in to shop for almost 25 years!! This is a clean, friendly shop that everyone around it loves.
