AG Sports Bar — Restaurant in Beaverton

Really nice, newer establishment with a great selection of draft beers, nice modern decor and great service.

The service was fast and even though the staff could tell our group weren't regulars they treated like we were. Very friendly and quick service most of the time.

We went here for Karaoke, mostly. Although they also have pool tables, a huge lottery room and TVs to watch sports events too. We went on a Saturday night and it was kind of dead. We were told that Friday is the big Karaoke night, if you want a big audience. They said they are often so packed that you can only get up to sing twice all night. I guess the good part is you have a big audience to perform for, if you want that.

Since it was fairly dead (about 25 patrons there, but most of them were doing something other than Karaoke) it was sort of nice because you got to get up and sing very frequently. But it was also a bummer because even amazing performances by singers went almost totally unnoticed by the crowd who seemed to be disinterested.

The sound system they have is really good. Very loud and good balance of vocals and music. The 60+ yr old KJ is a hoot! Full of so much enthusiasm and vigor. He made it a lot more interesting. Plus, he's a pretty good singer himself. One of the more interesting and engaging KJs I've seen at any place that had karaoke.

I would like to come back on a night when it was a LITTLE more busy. And we plan to. But it was nice to get a lot of songs in. Oh! And they have pretty much any song ever made, which is really cool. Huge selection.

Compared to the other 7 or 8 places around Beaverton/Tigard/SW Portland that have Karaoke, this place is definitely the nicest I've found so far. Which is why I'm surprised it was so dead. If you're into Karaoke people, this place is WAY nicer than most of the other places that have Karaoke around here. We will definitely be be going back.

Only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it was so dead and the crowd was sort of aloof to the Karaoke. Made it not quite as fun. Also, they need to install a TV up near the ceiling - so that singers don't have to put their backs toward the audience while singing! If they'd just fix that problem I'd rate this...

I have been a customer for over 20 years at this establishment and have been able to bring my service dog in no problems. We just got kicked out of this establishment due to discrimination since my disability is present and now another person who's dog went after my dog and then she made a complaint saying she doesn't feel comfortable with my dog because my dog allegedly lunged at her dog. Did I mention that this girl is blind?? The bartender came to us and said that we have to sit in the corner of the bar and then wouldn't serve us and told us that we had to leave because the blind girl went back up to the bar stating that she felt uncomfortable with my dog even present.. so again, this establishment has presented clear discrimination!! I told the bartender to please call the manager, she said no! I requested for the other customer to leave as well since I was asked to leave . She said no that there had been three complaints against my dog when I am just now hearing about this. I am filing a complaint with the state for discrimination!! This is UNBELIEVABLE and i am quite shocked and disappointed at this matter since we have been coming here for so long and then to be asked to leave!! I will NEVER return to this establishment again! This is the second time I have had to file a review against this place for bartenders getting into customers personal business and causing indescribable...

Hate to say it, but your house rice is better than Mekong Bistros. I am reaaaally going to be bummed when the little Chinese guy hidden in the kitchen for the last 20 years leaves us. Bloody Marys are one of the Top 5 in Beaverton, anything on the menu is cooked to above Bar Greasy Spoon and the consistency with friendliness in the waitstaff is comforting. 20 years Strong for the Asian Gardens Sports Bar, and they have not skipped a beat. Good job in THE Neighbourhood Bar you guys.

I guess the original cook is gone. For the first time in about 15 years, AG let me down. Almost an hour wait for food potstickers Burned, chicken and broccoli, Lifeless, tasteless while the house rice was way too salty, dry and over cooked.

So Bummed. AG always was our go to for Good Chinese...
