Hello! I have had the pleasure of reviewing many McM in Oregon over the last few years. This is how your local venue matches up!
Location: 9/10: Right on the corner! Prime. Staff: 8/10: Nice and cheerful. Greeted me right at the door! Service: 4/10: Slow, Ridiculously slow. Only 5 or so people there. Beer: 5/10: Average beer. You will find a much better selection elsewhere. Cost: 2/10: Wont find a more overpriced place for the portion of food you receive. Mngmnt: 3/10: Unwilling to work with suggestions or any constructive advice.
Example: when I received my side salad it was about 6 ounces worth of salad for $3.75. When I looked at the tatertots that came with my burger, I thought it was a mistake because there were barely any... 16 tatertots. I pointed this out figuring that I just got the end of the bag batch. I was promptly informed by the server himself "we skimp on portions here" as I was blown away that he just said that. Furthermore he mentioned 15 tater tots is how they portion each time. So they cannot count either, someone had to get lucky with that extra tot and it was me! The $12.50 bacon burger comes with one side, I chose the tots. Management will lose business skimping on portions with unsatisfied customers. Horrible decisions were made there.
Note: The beer on tap is their own lineup which is why one pint of microdraft beer exceeds the median average* by almost a dollar ($0.89). Go elsewhere to get your fix.
*: Median average for the...

I have come in both during day and evening shift, the bartenders are always welcoming and love to see you become a regular. They will check in on and have a quick chat whenever they can so you feel welcomed at home. The actual restaurant is cozy with tables that can be pushed together for larger parties in the main area, booths lining either side of the room for families or friends. You never have to wait for a table, sitting yourself so you can get your perfect spot. You can come in to chat, drink, play boardgames (or pool) or even work, I have come in several times to draw, write and sew. Only issues I have had are with drunk people and mild discomfort. But nothing horrible. Remember to tip the bartenders that care about you and are making sure you are happy.
NOTE: Bartenders are more than happy to make certain drinks non-alcoholic. I had one make me a non-alcoholic Old Fashioned, along with some of their seasonal beverages. Don't be scared on asking about it. You can enjoy a fancy drink without the stress of alcohol.
NOTE: THEY CLOSE AT 10PM NOT MIDNIGHT...

When we arrived at the restaurant, she came right out with our order in a large bag. I had already opened the hatchback door so she could put it in the trunk. She (carelessly) "threw" the bag in the trunk, without a word - (no "thank you for your order, or the tip.) When I closed the door/hatchback - I heard a" crash" where the closing door hit the bag and knocked it over. I had to get out of the car and go back and straighten up the bag.
I don't normally write a review but this was so very uncharacteristic of the usual service at McMinnemins - I thought someone should know this employee acted like she was not enjoying her job. This was 6:30pm on Sunday night. There was not a single car in the parking lot & nobody in the restaurant. It didn't appear she was overworked or overly busy. She made us feel like she resented our "bothering" her. Too bad because McMinnemins is a favorite...
