Room 122 — Restaurant in Beaverton

I'm writing this review because google sent me a notification to write one and finish my review. At this moment I feel it's only fair to tell the owners and everyone else why I gave it one star

About 6 years ago my friend was in town and I offered to buy them a drink. at that point in time both of us were 26 years old. We came here out of suggestion from their younger sister who used to frequent this place (she was 22 years old at that time). I didn't notice it but my friend pointed out to me the bartender was giving us a weird look. We only had 2 beers because they didn't feel comfortable staying there for very long. So we went outside we decided to sober up before driving away. As we were chatting a cop pulls up behind my car and gets out comes up to us and says: "Hello so you're not in trouble if you say yes, but did you two just finish up in there (pointing towards the tap room 122)" Me being confused said "yeah why?" The cop immediately goes can I see your license and registration. I honestly didn't want to give them to him because well he didn't tell us what for, but I figured it would just be easier to give them to him, so I did. He looks at my license and I asked them what seems to be a problem. He said "Oh we got a call about some kids here with a car that fit your cars description but when we ran the license plate it came back as a dodge ram" (I drove a honda accord) I looked at my friend (who drives a dodge ram that was parked right next to my car) and the cop looks over to their truck and said that's the license plate they gave us. This is when I figured out my friend was right I looked back into the bar and the bartender was just staring at us not moving with a stern face . Everyone else was going about their own time actually cause they hadn't noticed I'm assuming Needless to say neither myself or my friend had done anything wrong so the cop left without saying much more, but I myself nor has my friend ever returned to this place. If you enjoy this place good for you but I'm not willing to give them another chance what was said in the bartenders actions was enough for me to stay away. I'm not 100% certain what he was trying to do I'm not going to say what I think, but the words that stick with me from the cop that mostly hint at what he was trying to do, were "You're not in trouble if you say yes" and "some kids"

We are not typical bar customers who rate everything 5 stars just because it has alcohol like so many people do. I rate the beer and food quality, service, atmosphere, and cleanliness.

Pros: Good selection of beer, wine, and cider. Not the best I've seen, but they have a nice wide selection. Also they don't focus on IPA. We both can't stand bitter beer so it's nice to have something different. Bartender was nice and gave and many samples as we wanted. Not super talkative, but still friendly. Clean, no trash laying around. Several large screen TVS and board games. Fairly bright, not a dark depressing place.

Cons: It's a borderline dive. This is a place to go with your friends for a few beers and talk or watch a game. Definitely not a place for a date or if you are looking for a nice, classy environment. Both bathrooms were dirty during our visit. No food that I saw but there was a food truck.

We might occasionally go back but we won't be regulars. I liked the selection but not the environment. I know most reviewers said this place is amazing. No it really isn't. It's pretty much a dive. Still a decent place to go for...

An absolute hidden gem with a relaxed vibe. They always have a tasteful selection of beers, l’ve never been disappointed. Quite rare to see this honestly.

The owners are very friendly, welcoming and down to earth. Their patrons are generally cool as well, had some great conversations.

I generally bring whatever food I want or have something delivered while I’m there.

If you need a calm and friendly place to relax, wind down, bring whatever food you like and get some great beers on tap, I can’t think of a better place.

They have a decent selection of board games as well. It is my favorite hobby but unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to play there yet.
