Recently, a group of us embarked on an exciting mountain biking adventure in the stunning landscapes of Bella Vista and Bentonville, and we had the pleasure of renting high-end mountain bikes from Phat Tire Bike Shop. Upon arriving at the bike shop, we noticed it was quite busy, which led to a slightly longer wait than anticipated. However, once we were attended to, the staff's dedication and helpfulness quickly made up for the minor inconvenience. They made sure each member of our group was equipped with the appropriate bikes and we knew how to use them. The staff's knowledge and expertise were evident as they walked us through the features and functionalities of the high-end mountain bikes we rented. They patiently answered our questions and offered valuable insights, making sure we felt confident and prepared for our day-long biking adventure. Their genuine passion for cycling was contagious, further fueling our enthusiasm for the upcoming excursion. As we ventured out onto the trails, the quality of the mountain bikes became apparent. The bike shop's location served as an ideal gateway to the mountain biking paradise of the region. Its proximity to the trails and its well-stocked inventory made it a convenient and reliable resource for outdoor enthusiasts. The wait time was longer than expected due to the shop's popularity, but we received exceptional service...
Read moreI bought a Trek bike. I meant to get it to this store but somehow messed up my order and it came to my home. I built it at home and enjoyed doing it, but I’m far from expert.
When I told the store I’d built it and needed a few extra things, the guy running the store offered to look over the bike and check everything for me (no charge). That was hugely appreciated!
Of course I’ve been back to the store. Bought a new bike helmet, the bottle holder, other bits. I was given tips on riding, trails, maintenance.
But several months later, my tires were a little low even though I pumped them up recently. I thought I’ll call in for advice and Adam was there. He said I could bring it in, and I had it on my truck so he said bring it in now. One of his guys was awesome, showed me how to take out the valve, check the sealant levels and then topped them up.
Of course now I needed a valve removal thing, and a gas cartridge tire fill thing in case of emergency on a trail, so that was a purchase but they didn’t charge for topping up the sealant on my 6 month old well ridden bike (because they had some of the “delivery sealant” in stock, it’s not the really good stuff haha). That’s why I’ll be back again to Phat Tire though. It’s not a rip off business. Thank you Adam and team for your willingness to help a novice!
Great well organized store with helpful folks who know what...
Read moreNOT for casual bike renters. Made a reservation to have 5 Green Way E bikes at $45 a bike for the day (10 am- 7pm),. They do not rent by the hour. There was some confusion in getting the proper bikes out for us to rent when we arrived a few minutes after 10 AM. Since we were all novices the young men in the bike shop Were Very patient And kind In Showing Us how to use the bikes. There was 1 employee who was 40ish with a salt and pepper beard that was very rude, condescending and sarcastic. When I asked what to do with the bikes If we stopped To eat or shop his answer was " I don't know, I've never had to sell a 15 foot bike lock before ". Clearly this shop is for bikers who need service or want to buy a bike, not for casual renters of E-bikes. They have a lot of 5 star reviews, but it's all for sales, service and repairs NOT for bike rentals. The battery fell out of one of the bikes as we were leaving, they gave us a different bike.
I will in the future seek out a shop that is a little further away for casual bike rides. The Greenway is absolutely beautiful and is a very...
