I've been eating here for well over a decade and a half, and I always come back. They kind of have their own take on a lot of dishes so you do have to learn what it is you like. Their crab rangoons (think they call them cheese wontons or something, But I just called them crab rangoons and they know exactly what I'm talking about) are some of the best I've ever had. If you order over $50 worth of food they give you free sugar rolls (they call them fried donuts). And those are always a big hit at my house. And the people are always great!
Once you realize that they have their own way of doing many dishes that's not exactly like the big chains, and you find dishes that are to your liking, you really can't go wrong. It can take a little bit of trial and error, not that I've had anything bad there, just sometimes things I wasn't expecting. I especially like their beef dishes and the chicken dishes that use unbreaded chicken. But they sometimes go unbredded in dishes that are traditionally breaded in other restaurants,...
Read moreWe tried this place for the first time the other day. It was okay. The lo mein had lots of sauce in it. Fried rice was okay. Chicken didn’t taste like good quality. It wasn’t horrible, just not good. Had the General Tso. Staff were friendly and prompt; however, there was an employee smoking just outside the entrance when we were walking in. I can’t stand that, go down the plaza or over by a tree in the parking lot. Don’t subject patrons to your cigarette smoke. The blinds on the door are broken and old. The inside is dark, run down, and uncomfortably warm. Tables and booths were in rough shape. Signage/menu was old and faded to being hard to read. Front counter was run down and cluttered. I get making do with what you have, but maintaining a restaurants interior is imperative. It’s the first impression you make on people. They do give you large portion sizes and their wantons are very good. We probably...
Read moreAlways good (and plentiful) food and quick service. I've seen people on here complaining about lack of cleanliness, but I've never been afraid of getting sick or anything... It's not that it's dirty, just not trying to look super put-together or anything... the equivelent of my sloppy pajama look on the weekends. I actually like the low-key vibe; it reminds me of some places I used to go when I lived up North in the country. Good food and nice people. I always get Spring Rolls with whatever I order because they're awesome. My main drive for posting this review is my guilt over not looking through my bag thoroughly, and going back in to suggest they missed something. I felt like an @$$ after finding it... but I wouldn't post this if I didn't love the food. General Tso's is always a sure bet if you're...
