I’ve been coming to Yoga2gather for a couple of years and have always loved the studio. The classes are great, and the environment is generally welcoming. However, I recently had a disappointing experience that I feel is important to share.
I was unaware that the studio has a strict no-late policy, meaning there is no grace period whatsoever—you must arrive exactly on time or earlier. Most yoga studios I’ve attended allow a 5- to 10-minute grace period, so I was surprised when I arrived just three minutes late and found the door locked. There was no one at the front desk to let me in, which seems like something the studio should have in place to assist clients. When I called to explain the situation, the instructor, Rochelle, did offer a one-time courtesy since I was unaware of the policy. However, the way she spoke to me was condescending and unprofessional. Instead of being understanding, she was defensive and dismissive, making unnecessary comments that implied if someone is late once, they are always late. Regardless of policies, no client should be spoken to in that manner.
This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this issue—she was also rude to my mother on a separate occasion. It’s disappointing because clients are what keep a business running, and professionalism in customer service is just as important as enforcing rules. Additionally, if you’re attending a class here, be mindful that the exit onto Chimney Rock can get congested, so it’s best to plan for at least a 10-minute delay. While I still enjoy the studio, I believe a more respectful and customer-friendly approach from certain staff members would make a...
Read moreI can’t say enough wonderful things about Y2G—it is such a special place. I first walked through the doors as a student, drawn in by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. No matter your experience level, background, or goals, you are embraced with open arms. Beginners are encouraged & celebrated 🌟
Over time, this studio became more than just a place to practice—it became my community. The diversity here is incredible, with students ranging from teens to mature adults, and each class is a beautiful mix of skill levels. The instructors all bring their unique styles, ensuring that there’s something for everyone. Whether you are looking for a powerful, sweat-dripping flow, boot camp, barre, or a gentle, restorative yin, you will find it here.
The space itself is immaculate, always fresh and inviting, which makes it even easier to fully immerse yourself in the practice. Beyond the physical environment, it’s the people who make this studio extraordinary. No matter what kind of day I’ve had when I see Rochelle - and hear her kind greeting, "Hey, Sweet Sister!" I know I will leave feeling lighter—sweating out my stress and sharing laughs with my yoga family.
I found Y2G at the right time in my life. I took the leap and trained here to become a teacher. Now, I am incredibly proud to guide others on their own...
Read moreYoga2Gather has quickly become my happy place and the classes serve as my exercise, therapy and “me” time. I happened across it in December while looking for a studio in which I could get back to hot yoga, and decided to try the 2wk unlimited special - which is an incredible value in and of itself. I stayed after that two weeks because it’s apparent everybody and every body is welcome and has space here, no matter your skill level. The teachers are all genuinely incredible - motivating, encouraging, challenging, kind and real - and they all make a point to learn your name and greet you hello as soon as you walk in the door.
The class variety is phenomenal - they offer barre; boot camp; vinyasa and heated flow (now called super sonic and definitely worth trying); yin and restorative yoga; and my favorite, sonic (hot) yoga. I appreciate the later evening selection of offerings that ensure I always have an after-work option available, and appreciate the ability to schedule my attendance through a portal.
The studio itself is always clean and bright, and they have showers available foe use after classes. There’s abundant parking on the street and in nearby lots, and I’ve never felt unsafe walking to/from my...
